Was that one second or two seconds for Orlando's shot? And is that the mermaid from the last movie coming back out of the sea??? I love the look Barbossa is sporting in this and I am eagerly anticipating another three hour swashbuckling adventure with pretentious Pirates and crazy mystical madness. I hope it does business for Disney enough for them to make back what they spent filming this thing considering it's been in the can for at least two years. (Wasn't it filmed in 2014?)

I hope so too, considering the fact they went over budget with this one.

And I think it finished filming in 2015.

Has anybody else noticed the bird in the beginning is missing part of its leg? The foot is there, but there's a missing section of its one leg. I think that's pretty neat: makes it clearly more of a ghost bird than a zombie bird.

Did jack get his tattoo wrong? That's taking his drunkenness a bit too far.

But the rest looks pretty cool: Barbossa in a curly wig, King of the Sea Will Turner, hot new lady, and of course the rum is not gone!

I liked the trailer. Think I liked the superbowl spot more though. Hope this ends up being good since this is confirmed to be the last one in the series.

Final adventure, eh? I don't know know if this makes the similarities with previous stories better or worse. On the one hand, it's celebrates the past. On the other, it makes the final movie seem the least creative. I guess it depends on how it's handled. This trailer did show that things between Jack and the villain are more personal, so that's interesting, although that itself could be seen as a flipped version of the Jack/Barbossa rivalry in the first film...

Looking forward to it! I love these movies - perfect big budget popcorn flicks to escape into for a couple hours that are fun as hell.

This feels more like the bloated and out of control Gore Verbinski sequels than the massively dull fourth film. As someone with a big soft spot for Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, that's a good thing.

Is he even trying anymore? That felt nothing like Jack Sparrow.

That was a fantastic trailer. It looks just plain fun. I thought they were doing another movie after this, so I'm surprised they're now calling this the last one, but they might as well end it instead of just forcing out sequels. The humor was witty, and I laughed out loud at every joke in the trailer. I didn't care for the CGI Johnny Depp, but I will say it's actually a bit exciting to finally see some of Jack Sparrow's early days as a pirate, and then tie that in with his last major story. I'm assuming that this is where Bootstrap Bill and Will Turner also fit in since Bootstrap would have been with him. The new guy looks way more fun than the priest guy from the last movie too.

Also, this movie has freaking zombie sharks! If that's not worth the price of admission, I don't know what is.

Jack Sparrow is a drunk and kind of a @$$hole, so that's very much him.

I've been a fan of these films and the ride for years so it's really sad to see them come to an end, as the new trailer seems to indicate is happening. I will see this one in theaters.

And on top of that, it looks like Jack himself just isn't interested anymore, or being kind of washed up. I mean he doesn't even have his crew and ship back yet, when the boy finds him.

Noticed that the movie is being released on Memorial Day 2017 - ten years to the almost exact day since At World's End.

Will started his first 10 years that day too.
