I have been putting this off for a while. I have an extra 60.00 or so in my PP account is this worth it?? ( I have no other G1 combiners not counting FP add ons or TFC Herc)

The BBTS exclusive version? They have it for $40, and I seem to recall it being as low as $30. With over 2k in stock, you can probably hold out for a bit.

Yea, they had that thing clearanced out for $30. With so many units left instock, I'd recommend holding out until it gets back down to $30, if not lower.

    Yeah I wouldn't go buy it .

Don't support a retailer who stepped up and got us a combiner cheaper than any other release, like Encore for instance

It would be fool hardy to support a retailer who goes out of their way to bring us a G1 exclusive.

Ok sarcasm off, but that stuff pisses me off.

Its a good deal for any combiner period, so pick it up

I say the same, letting aside the fact that you COULD get it cheaper if you play the patience game and everything, this particular combiner worth those 48usd. I paid a little more for him and no regrets after actually messing with him.

I'd totally get it! But postage makes it more like $80/90. Lame...

$48 isn't bad either for a MISB reissue combiner. I'm just saying that you could probably get it for even less if you hold out a little. It was not long ago that they had it for $30.

    QFT.

I bought one for full price when BBTS first sold him, and picked up a second on one of their sales ($45) because of the variety of ways you can display/combine this sucker due to the Scramble City style gestalt choices and the robot/beast/targetmaster modes. I haven't regretted this decision.

That said, if they ever drop down to $20-25 I may possibly order a third. Having extras of the limbs also fits in with the drone/troopbuilder nature of the Seacons in Masterforce.

If you accumulate enough of those TFsource points you can get it for free.

I am only 100 points shy of that.
BUT you have to spend 200.00 to use your points and get it LOL.

Just hold off, there are going to be tons of expensive 3rd party items and if anything get your MPs there. I am about to buy Giant, Ironhide and Ratchet.

I got mine for $30 + about $10 shipping. This set gets a bad rep for the slight color variations and the flimsy stickers. But for $40 shipped, I'm pretty happy with it.

Odds are, BBTS will probably clearance it again around the holiday season.

Go to BBTS, and buy it for $40. Now.

Pirahnacon is totally worth $60. $40 is a great deal. The extra $10 is more than worth not waiting for it to be further clearanced. It's my favorite G1 combiner toy, since it's just infinitely playable and has so many excellent features. You'd be doing yourself a disservice waiting for it to drop again. $40's a steal.

Anyone that hasn't bought one of these by now probably has a reason why. Not just a lack of funds. I say really think about why you want this. If the reason you come up with is just that you have some free cash, pass on this and save it for something that you really want. I've been looking at this for a while too, but I don't think I'm going to buy it any time soon. While G1 still has a place in my heart, the toys themselves are verry dated. Any G1 toy I buy, I buy as a novelty. Even at 30 bucks thats a little high for a novelty.

Yeah they're dated, but they're also fun.
