I love how in that video they blatantly lie about how big Megatron is, when showing him fighting Prime.

Also, this commercial (and entire toyline) is going to give some kids in japan some very wrong ideas about the Transformers Prime TV show.

How is this gimmick any different from Mech Tech and the movies?

You seem to be, from various post, very very against Takara's prime stuff, like... everything about it. imo, its got its positives :p

Nah, that would be silly exaggeration. They might be a bit smaller than their Animated-ROTF counterparts but they're still clearly deluxes and voyagers.

    Well, I have to say.

It looks like I'll be tracking down multiples of that Lugnut minicon. And here I thought I could safely say the Lugnut shrine wouldn't need updating for awhile...

Hmm. Good pics, but I'd rather see some of the later releases. I'm not too interested in any of those, save Skywarp, but only if he's in the show.

Do we know if he's going to be in the show?

I hope we get those mini-cons in America, they make for better Targetmasters than the PCC guys did (though, their robot modes kinda suffer, but that's not exactly the appeal here). But they're not worth importing the larger toys just to get.

These Microns really need to be released seperately. I really want them but can't buy every frickin bot JUST for them. *sigh*

It's been reported that Arms Microns will be available for purchase too, though randomly via Gachapon vending machines (egg capsules). It isn't yet known if the ones sold with figures will also be available or completely different ones or different ones with repaints. If Takara Tomy follow Bandai's Kamen Raider Fourze's lead, we'll have a chance to get doubles as well as some chase pieces only available through Gachapon--it sucks, but you can't fault a system that has children (and adults) hooked on getting rare pieces to keep, trade or sale.

I'm so torn on Ratchet. I love screen accuracy, an yet to me neither of them fit. So, I have both versions on preorder just to be safe. So hard for me to choose which I like better. Ugh, it's never easy.

Oh, now I know Decepticon Arms Microns name rule. Gora(for Megatron) is Gorilla, and Baro(for Skywarp) is Buffalo. all are from beast's name.

Well, for accuracy, as far as Ratchet goes, I figure Reprolabels will do any sticker stuff that's needed.

The minicons are the only positive.

Everything else about them is squarely in the negative. Not only do they rely on stickers over paint for most of their decos (Ratchet seems to be the worst offender so far), but the stickers don't even compensate for all the paint apps that they're missing from the hasbro versions, like Ratchet's chest windows and Optimus' silver trailer hitch. Then they're covered in chunky plugs that ruin their look.

I see people praising the HELL out of that stickered mess of a Ratchet, and I don't see anything even remotely appealing about him, aside from his minicon. Almost every bit of color on his robot mode is a sticker, and a decent amount of his vehicle mode's colors are stickers too.

I think that if the company's names were switched, a lot of the people praising these things would be bitching about them.

Paint is the last thing anyone should expect from Takara-Tomy with this line. They may do one with better plastic colors, but paint? I doubt it. They seem to be avoiding it as much as possible.
