Hey guys, I'm looking to complete my Classic collection, and I have yet to buy Onslaught, Silverbolt and Inferno. I'd like to see some comparison pics of each to see wich version I like the most between Hasbro and Takara.

I've looked at various pics, and so far it seems to be Takara Silverbolt and Onslaught with Hasbro Inferno, but I'd like to see some clear side by side comparison to make a decision.

Personally, I'd go with whatever's cheapest. I didn't find with any of them that the Hasbro version was better than the Takara or vice versa.

I don't own either version of Silverbolt or Onslaught, but I'd go for Henkei Inferno for sure. The overall brighter red is enough for me. Also the dark blue-grey with the metal flake looks better than Hasbro's brownish-black.

Henkei Powerglide is a must! Silverbolt, and Onslaught can be either or. They both have their plus and minus sides for each.

I already have Henkei Powerglide :p

And after studying all the pics, I decide to go for Henkei version for all 3! Hasbro Inferno didn't seems to be available anymore at BBTS and the like, and I really like the chrome on the Henkei one. I also prefer the more vibrant blue of Henkei Onslaught. Silverbolt is more of a mixed bag, but bot mode from Henkei won at the end, too many color on the Hasbro one with a weird two-tone red chest.

Either Onslaught is good, but the Henkei Silverbolt definitely looks nicer.

I have them all now but my wife took my tripod I can add what missing to the beginning of the thread I just need some time.

You are what is called a cheapskate.

I prefer Henkei for most of the figures but Hasbro does have some gems.

I thought that, right up until I bought Henkei Thundercracker. £40 repaint of a mold I already had four of. :(

Good point, that was a piece of crap. Makes my Botcon version me valuable to me just for that reason. Just blame Hasbro for that ridiculous price.

Please do when you can, your pics are good and quite helpfull! Maybe a tad too dark sometime, but great still :thumbs2:

Same, I only have a few Hasbro, mainly from the first Classic serie, Universe 2.0 is nearly all Henkei, I think only 2 are Hasbro. I prefer to pay extra for the figure that look the best to me :)

Yeah, that the links I used to compare the remaining figure, great pics there too, but browsing was a bit awkward.

Yeah I don't like the browsing either. I'm hoping that's rectified soon.

Yea, the early shots are dark I was just getting into photography. A couple members here have given me some camera tips that have made a big difference so that problem has been rectified.

pretty much, with one exception: takara have nicer boxes.

that's it. people talk at length about the paintjobs, the attention to detail, takara > hasbro, lolchrome, collectability, so on and so forth but all it really comes down to is the nicer box. i'm not even trolling - i genuinely believe that is the only meaningful difference between them.
