Not that it's not appreciated, but how difficult would it have been for Hasbro to make two new (basic) molds for each set? I mean, this is the 25th anniversary, right?

Im glad that there was a lot of negative reaction towards these sets, should make them fairly easy to find when they get released.

I want, and will get both.

I just hope silverbolt's body can peg together in both robot modes this time around.

not difficult, no, but not feasible either.

i would've wanted to see new-limb molds too, but i think it's appropriate that the new-mold budget goes toward producing stuff like Sunstreaker, Ironhide, Onslaught, etc instead. these rereleases ARE essentially just less-overhead-expensive additions to the line, and as store exclusives they're not as likely to recoup development expenses.

Yup. Plus, they didn't need to give us Bruticus, but they are. Be grateful. I sure as hell am! BEST COMBINER GROUP!

Superion looked better in Energon. On the other hand, I think Bruticus does better with these subdued colors.

But why, why, why would they make the clear accessories different shades of blue/red?

Which series is this Superion mold from?

For the heck of it, what is Bruticus from?

    Thanks

They said they weren't interested in doing new molds.

    Bruticus Maximus

"Slow and stupid might be considered drawbacks in most warriors, but no Bruticus Maximus. In him, these traits simply serve to highlight just how strong and indestructible he is. He is one of the strongest and toughest Decepticons ever built, with enough power to pulverize most Autobots in a single blow. Missiles and artillery bounce harmlessly off his armor, and high-powered lasers just annoy him. Most Autobots consider any battle in which Bruticus Maximus takes part in a losing proposition."

    Tech stats: Strength - 10, Intelligence - 3, Speed - 1, Endurance - 9, Rank - 5, Courage - 10, Fireblast - 8, Skill - 6.

    Function/"bios" for the individuals:
Onslaught - Combaticons leader and strategic genius
Blast Off - Arrogant loner astronaut
    Vortex - Combaticons interrogator
    Swindle - Decepticon con artist
Decepticon Brawl - Loudmouthed artillery gunner

    and now Superion!

"The mighty union of the five Aerialbots, Superion thinks of little else besides destroying any Decepticons he encounters, and protecting any innocent bystanders nearby. The robots that combine to form this powerful warrior are experienced teammates, working in tandem to see that the Autobots emerge victorious from the fire of the ancient war."

    Stats: Strength - 10, Intelligence - 3, Speed - 8, Endurance - 10, Rank - 5, Courage - 10, Fireblast - 8, Skill - 7

    Function/"bios" for the individuals:
    Silverbolt - Aerialbots leader
    Airazor - Small but fierce
    Fireflight - Easily distracted daydreamer
    Skydive - Aerial strategy expert
    Air Raid - Reckless divebomber

    Blast Off - arrogant loner astronaut ... and a tank ... ... lol. :)

Airazor - actually not a bad choice if the name Slingshot isn't available, but now I can't help but assume Superion's got one female limb now. ;)
