Dunno if this has been posted before, but I stumbled onto them and thought it was rockin' to see. First link is a Mitsubishi Fuso fire truck in the country of Macau, it seems to indicate it was built in 2004 which is interesting because that is the *spitting image* of G1 Inferno's vehicle mode if you look closely. Granted this next link to a Fuso SuperGreat is used as a riot control vehicle in Japan primarily, but still, would make a *great* Hot Spot...I never thought I'd see a light blue fire truck like that of any kind, much less an actual Fuso SuperGreat that harkens directly to Hot Spot's original design. Cool to know these vehicles are still in use today. Link: Pictures of Japanese Riot Police Fuso SuperGreat Water Cannon Vehicle - Japanese Trucks, Commercial Vehicles Photos, Videos

The Diaclone Inferno actually had the Mitsubishi logo and the FUSO lettering on the front of the vehicle. They removed it for transformers. I am pretty sure Hotspot is a variant of the FUSO High Volume Fire Snokel or a Skylift (has two wheels in the front, one in the back)

Also here is a 'firefighter' version of Hook

Now the real question is why aren't we using the Mistubishi Faso in North America?

Probably because it costs too much to maintain to the same level that our current fleet needs to be maintained, who knows.
