Picked up my site to store order will post picturs soon, it is nicely packaged and has the old G1 cartoon artwork in the background, Mirage is translucent plastic with painted details, it was hard to see ont he Wal-Mart stock picture.

Also Mirage has the Citanes logo on his arms, instead of the Autobot Symbols in the previous 2 pack.

Quick question ... what condition did this come in?

was it beat up? I don't trust Wal-Mart's shipping at all.





I had NO idea that Mirage was clear too. That's sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

 

I got mine in the mail yesterday as well.... and you are absolutely right, it was beat to hell. The shipping box was mangled, and the box that the toys came in was crushed and torn on one side. The toys are fine, and since I'm not a MIB collector I don't really care (I throw away most of my boxes anyway). But man, if I WERE such a collector, I would never use Walmart shipping again!

Regarding this five-pack, it's really great. It's not just Mirage that is different from his two-pack version, Prime and Megatron also have different paint applications. Prime uses a brighter, more metallic shade of blue than his two-pack version, his yellow accents are more yellow-orange than lemon yellow, and he has yellow tail-lights painted on his toes. Megatron is even more dramatically different; instead of the bone-white color of his two-pack version, he is metallic silver. He actually looks an awful lot like a tiny version of Revoltech Megatron.

So folks who are avoiding buying this five-pack because you don't want doubles, never fear! Every figure in the pack is a unique variation. And I think the pack is really worth the money. Just don't have it shipped from Walmart if you want a pristine box.  

EDIT: You know, after accumulating more and more of these little guys, it just hit me..... with their size, their posture, and their cute little proportions, I get a distinct "Battle Beasts" vibe from them. All they're missing are little heat-sensitive stickers.

I'm an MISB'er and I purchased a Cybertron EVac from them ages ago. It was awful. It looks like the shipping box was used as an elephant's chair. On the inside, not a single piece of packing material was used.

It was the toy in an over sized box with an invoice ... destroyed to all heck.

 

Ok... I'm becoming sold on this thing... that Mirage is cool enough to justify buying the whole pack, but since the other figs have diff. paint apps... I'll be more inclined to buy.

 

Yup. AWESOME set. I can't wait till my never-stocks-anything Walmart puts them out...

 

Oh, and I forgot ask...is this a Walmart Exclusive?

 

I can't wait for this to actually hit retail. I'm not going to go the online route.

You do? Where'd you get them from? Every figure in the set is different from what is already out there, albeit only metallic paint upgrades(in Megatron and Prime's case).

 

The new paint apps is good news, more of a reason to buy tthan just Skywarp. B)

 

The Mirage and Skywarp alone are enough for me to get this set. The shiny metal paint apps for Prime and Megs is just icing on the cake.

This set is not for me.

Never liked Cliffjumper as a Bumblebee repaint. Don't care for metal-painted leaders over the general relased ones. Mirage could be cool, but it doesn't look translucent enough for my tastes.

And I wouldn't buy this set just for Skywarp. Pass.

I'm hoping to get this for fathers day......i think my wife ordered it from walmart.com and shipped it directly to the store she works at.

 

Wait, you can have them call you when it's in? How did you do that, pre-order it at the store? I'd love it if the Wal-Mart near me could to that for Alternators Rumble and Ravage, then I wouldn't have to keep going in there to check.

 

These things are totally Awesome! I haven't been this excited to get toys in a long time. I'm usually a Takara loyalist but I must say these things TOTALLY blow away the MyClone figures from a few years back!

My one gripe is Hasbro's like a drug pusher in trying to convince us Cliffjumper is a repaint of Bumblebee (this is like the 2nd or 3rd time they've done it). On was a VW the other a Porsche. Plus their head scults were totally different.

All in all these toys rock and I'm gettin 2 of each!
