I've never felt the mold properly captures his heft and bulk and I've never been fond of repaints.

But I think this paint job does this mold more justice than the original more movie accurate paint job. I may have to pick this up.

 

You know, I have to say that actually doesn't look half bad. The deco looks good for what it is.

I still like the original green one, myself.(Although I kinda wish it had the red axes.) But I honestly don't see anything wrong with this. It works.

 

The colors look really nice on this guy, and outside of the really bad brown on the wheels (the color of the plastic from DT Ratchet would have worked much better here), the weathering job is actually decent in the small amount that there are.

But the head being black makes it hard to make out, and while I LOVE my Long Haul, I'd rather buy a new mold i.e. Seaspray.

 

I really love this toy. I'm getting it along with all the other Constructicon repaints. I need my fodder army.

That looks 10x better than Long Haul. I'll pass because I have Long Haul already and don't need two of this mold, but if I had to pick one I'd go with this one. Easily.

 

I wish the head was yellow so it would stand out more, but I can do that myself. Great repaint otherwise.

Great pictures. The colors look very nice - however, I tend to shy away from straight repaints when I already own one version of the mold, so I expect I'll pass.

 

Is a buy for me!

However, my plan once I buy him is to remove any Decepticon symbols on him, find a replacement head that will properly fit, stick an Autobot symbol or two on him and rename him "Heavy Load".

How does that sound?

Nice looking repaint, but man, those baby shit green tires, ugh. I wonder how hard it'd be to swap them with some Long Haul tires?

 

Love the character, but not digging the new packaging.
Since I keep my stuff MISB, the new box just doesn't fit in, so I'll pass.
