Hello guys I remember that both TM2 Megatron and Tigerhawk had a third vehicle mode, but I can't find pics anywhere, does anybody of you have the pics? Can you post them here? I need those pics, thanks a lot!

Tigerhawk's third mose is really just his battle mode. The helmet goes over his face and the wings reconfigure.

Really? I thought someone a while back had figured out a tank mode for him.

No, he doesn't have wheels like Megs does. Basicaly you pull the helmet over hishead, extend the wings and flip the cannons around. I guess you could call it a jet mode.

Really? He doesn't have wheels? What are those things on top of his wing cannons?

Must be all those drugs I did this morning. ;)

I don't currently have a Tigerhawk to take pics with, but it involved him on his back and some folding of limbs, and the arm with the cockpit and wrist guns being used as a turret.

Look like turbines to me. I'm sure someone could make a fan-mode where they utilize the turbines as wheels, though they certainly don't look free-rotating. The tank mode you describe's certainly sounds impressive. But it's not "Official".

He doesn't mean the green turbines, he means the white components directly behind the guns... those ARE wheels as I can confirm with my Universe Razorclaw. The story is he did have a 3rd mode planned, but due to either time or production cost, the remainder of the parts needed to convert him into vehicle mode were left out.

Yeah, I remember that too! There was a pretty awesome tank mode for old Tigerhawk, I just wish I knew where to find that pic.

If somebody had a scan of the back of a Transmetal 2 package, the older one with Tigerhawk and Megatron in vehicle mode, you could probably attempt to recreate it.

I am glad someone remebered that! It was a very good mode, almost like a tank, and if I remember correctly you could use those wheels. Hope we could find it again.

Hey, I have just remembered that the guy who posted that Tigerhawk tank mode even posed another figure as a pilot! I am sure of that!

    That reminds me.

The little pilot seats in TM2 Megs and Tigerhawk, do they have little pilots in them?

I know in early stages of design, TH, Megs and OP OP were to have mini-spark-pilots, but it was abandoned due to the show. They still retained seats, though.

Mini pilots were all in the sketches so far as I know, not 100% sure they ever made it to actual physical form (maybe as a mock-up or gray copy?). Seats are still there, I count Tigerhawk's as a glorified spark crystal, but y'know, to each his/her own.

I believe when a "USA edition" of the TM2 Megs repaint Cryotek was released in Japan, it included the little pilot figure, called a "Spark Avatar" or something similar. Don't have a picture, unfortunately. As I recall, the figure was unpainted plastic the same color os the figure, and looked more or less like BW Megatron in the generic pre-Earth robot form he had at the very beginning of the TV show.

I'm not aware of ever seeing anything of the Tigerhawk pilot figure. As I remember, the figures were scrapped because having little guys that look like pilots in a cockpit bubble took away from the concept of living robots.
