No matter what tool i select, all it gives me is a hand. Whats wrong with it?
not sure, either you need to select another tool, or clean your computer. A restart migh help. Also check your preferences. I don't have enough information to judge.
What version of Photoshop? What OS are you using? We need details if we are to be your personal army.
sounds like what happens when you press the space bar. ( opens the grab tool and you can move around the work area without scrolling)
Are you using a wacom tablet?
I had the same thing happen to me a few times. I just shut Photoshop off and restarted my computer. If you're using a Wacom tablet you might wanna try unplugging it while doing this and plugging it back in.
That fixed things for me.
reminds me of a prank i pulled on someone at work, i changed thier cursor to the egg timer so it looked like their pc was continously loading something.
Maybe you ate some poison Halloween candy and now you're hallucinating?
When Photoshop starts malfunctioning, it usually means your computer needs a break (and you probably do, too! ). Save, turn off the program, and restart...then reboot if that doesn't work.
It means your spacebar is stuck. Check your keyboard. Failing that, restart Photoshop. That usually fixes any tool oddities I might experience.
It could be that your working in a file that isn't in RGB mode. Try going to Image-> Mode and see what it's set at. Also, you may have something selected that you don't know about, so try deselecting everything. Last, maybe check your layers window and go to the path tab and see if you mistakenly made a path layer.
Sometimes weird things just happen in Photoshop. Especially if you've been working on something for quite a while. As a matter of fact I've seen it happen in pretty much every Adobe product.
I god. I am doing this, like, right now.
