I tried google because I asked here. It seems like something really simple, but I just can't figure it out. So here it goes.

Say I want to cut something out of an original picture and I cut it and add it it another layer. But I want to change the position of it. Like I want to move it higher up on the layer.

How can I do that? The only way I can figure out how to move something around is to stretch it and then bring it back to it's normal size. But in that attempt I might not get it back to it's original size so I was hoping there was a way to move around something I cut to be able to position it as I like.

I am using Photoshop elements 6, not sure if that makes a difference.

Any help is much appreciated, it's driving me nuts that I can't figure it out. I have to move the cut piece around on MS Paint and then bring it back to photoshop, but that's really a hassle.

Should be able to do it by changing the stack order.

Hope that link helps, as I'm cheap and more of a GIMP guy.
