I get these stupid phone calls at least three times a day! And it's always some automated voice saying "It's not too late. Don't make the mistake of driving without a warranty." And they let the phone ring for forever! Anybody else getting these stupid things?

I get these as well, from different states even. I just hit the ignore button when they call, not much else I can do about it short of changing my phone number.

I've started to get these on my cell phones as well (two just called like ten minutes ago). Its always "this is the second call about the expiration of your car's factory warranty." I just want to scream, "NO, THIS IS LIKE THE HUNDREDTH CALL, AND MY WARRANTY EXPIRED 30,000 MILES AGO! YOU BUNCH OF PIG ROASTERS!"

It really sucks that got into the cell phone databases though.

Yea, I get these too. I thought there was a federal do not call list that I was on. :/ Anybody know of a way to stop these?

i have the federal do not call thing for cell phones. you have to call from your cell phone and there's a couple questions to answer.

Those calls are already reported and the FCC tracked them down in MO. However I won't be surprise if it is mimicked or someone has a VOIP virus.

I've once got a call from Thomas Edison. (My Caller ID read 000-000-0000) I didn't pick it up.

It's a scam that's been running for a long time now. When one goes down another pops up. I'll get the same damn call from a different number every few days.

Most of the time, the car warranty calls have an option that states, "If you no longer wish to receive calls about this, press 2" (or something). You have to listen for a while before they give you the option.

I did that a few times and I don't get the calls anymore.

These automated voice callers are the worse, becasue you can't really say anything.
Even screening your calls can get annoying since they'll just keep calling.

Im pretty polite with the telemarketers. Answer phone, tell them to hold on, I have another call, then just hang up.
They'll waste a few seconds waiting to see if you'll switch back over or if you hung up.

I get these kinds of calls from people thinking my name is Patrick... after I got about 10 calls I cussed the guy out and told him not to call me again and it worked.

This is why I can't wait for video phones to replace everything.

So when they call they can speak to my balls

Ok ok, I'll stop calling you. Ever since Deceptikitty blocked my number, I've had nobody else to call. I guess I'll call Kickback or summat.

I have a general rule of thumb when it comes to answering my phone.
If its one of my contacts I'll answer even if Im busy.
A number I dont recognize I'll pick up if Im not busy.
A withheld number I'll ignore. If you cant share your number, I cant share my time.
