Cross posted from the Phoenx 3P thread. I did it! My Skyfire can stow the rifle on his back now. And it was super easy too. If you want to add a couple of magnets to do this you'll just need (a) 2 rare earth magnets, (b) a small flat head screw driver, and (c) a couple of good dabs of E6000. I chose E6000 because it is very tacky to begin with, and it doesn't bond like CA glue. Which means you can always easily remove it later with a spudger (I've also found that an eraser works well too). Right where my finger is pointing is where you want to gently pry the two halves apart. These gun halves are held together via friction. No glue was used to assemble them, and they went right back together perfectly after opening it. Just mind the placement of pegs throughout the rifle prior to separating. Go slow and be gentle. Make sure your magnet placement is on the half of the rifle WITHOUT the charging handle. Otherwise it probably won't be able to "grab on" to the other magnet you'll be using. This is where I glued the magnet on mine. Be mindful of the polar orientation. Also, with this strong magnet it may slip and move sticking to one of the screw posts. Once you've got it where you want it stick the rifle on to "clamp" everything together while the glue cures. E6000 sets in about an hour, but takes about 12+ hours to fully cure depending on the amount used.
