Hey gang, here's a funny for your enjoyment.

 

Just found the Chaos on Velocitron set at the Toys r Us at Indian Bend and the 101. They have two more on the shelf as of this post.

 

I was at TRU on Power Rd right around the beginning of April and there were at least 6 Velocitron boxsets on the shelf, and I remember thinking, "I guess this set won't be too difficult to get, so I will wait until after I get back from my vacation." Stopped back there today and.....NOTHING! Now I am hearing rumors that there won't be a restock....WTF?

 

Damn. Did you ask them if they could check their warehouse? I don't think I've seen anything HasTak sell out like that since MP Soundwave.

ok, cool. See ya maybe in Sept. Too hot in July and August..unless there's a heck of a cool down.

 

I was at the Chandler Toys R Us, just east of I-10 and Ray, they had at least 2 Trypticons (one on the shelf, 1 on display near the Customer Service desk) and a new Hasbro MP-10 (on top of the Pepsi cooler at Register 11, specifically labeled Limit 1). I didn't ask if they had more or not. No idea if they will still there or not by the time you can get there. I don't need another MP-10 and don't have the money for Trypticon right now.

So it appears as though ALL TRUs in the Scottsdale area are closing, which is interesting. I can only assume that their leases are likely too expensive, but I would think you would keep at least ONE of them. Maybe that is why they are bankrupt :/

 

I think they are closing most locations so they can recupe their losses so they don't go totally into bankruptcy, and the entire chain goes down the tubes.

 

What's the word on the next meet up?

 

From what Brandon told me on Saturday..no meeting in February. Next one is sometime in March. I don't know if that is definite or not, you will have to talk to him.
