Anyone else watch this brilliant piece of Disney-owned animation? It's gotta be the best kid/ adult friendly cartoon since Pinky and the Brain.

For the uninitiated, Phineas and Ferb are two step-brothers determined to do something cool and different every day. This usually involves the building of large and complex contraptions in their backyard, including a roller coaster, a monster truck arena, treehouses that become fighting robots, or a gourmet restaurant. Meanwhile, the boys' sister continuously tries to bust the boys, only to have the contraptions disappear just before her mother looks, frustrating her to no end. In the meantime, the boys' pet platypus, Perry, is a secret agent who must foil the latest plans of the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz to take over the entire tri-state area. It's usually through Agent P and Doofenshmirtz's confrontation that the brother's work disappears- the evil doctor's meltinator gets rid of the ski slope, the Awayinator sends the monster truck arena to a different dimension, etc.
Most episodes are about 12 minutes long, so you get two in a half hour. The more you watch, the more you inside jokes and such you catch. The episode 'Thaddeus and Thor' is much funnier if you have 10 or so other episodes under your belt.

Anyway, I'll be buying the CD that comes out this week, and am eagerly awaiting the new episode this week, in which the time machine introduced in an earlier results in a future version of Candace visiting the first episode, finally busting her brothers, and setting up a chain reaction that results in Dr. Doofenshmnirtz finally conquering the entire tri-state area.

Long post. So what. I'm a fan, and I'll bet there's more out there, too.

My little cuz watches it and whenever he's watching I check it out sometimes.

I'm not saying that to sound cool by the way(ive seen every episode of Kim Possible including both movies) But I dont usually watch this particular show unless he's watching.

It's pretty funny though, the sense of humor is pretty good for a kids show.
(I laugh out load at a lot of it)

If I had kids i'd hope they watched shows that weird and funny.

wow u know i thought i might be the only one that really enjoys this show. one thing omega u left out that really endeared me to it was the inclusion of a catchy well written song in every 12 minute segment. they are even having a whole marathon about them.

What i like about it in one single word:
    INNOCENCE.

the show is full of it. The antics are always innocent. and despite the fact that even if caught, they'd win MIT scholarships instead of lectures, they still clean up after themselves.
Even the villains are harmless with a tinge of heart to them. Dude wanted to give his girl a birthday party for Pete's Sake.
(a tri-state area? you can have NJ, NY, and a state to be named later, lol.)

Y'know, I was thinking why this show was so addictive and then you put your finger right on it. It reminds me a lot of Recess, which is another cartoon that had that same innocent quality and therefore made it infinitely watchable.

I love it. Cartoon Network could learn a thing or two from Disney.

My nephew loves this show and my brother thinks it's okay.

I never thought of it as Disney's response to Pinky and The Brain.
Makes me appreciate the series a little bit.

i love this cartoon. my wife acuses me of being a bigger fan of it then my 4 year old. and while we are talking about inside jokes, what about the numerous appearances by jared from Bowling for Soup! they sing the theme song, he's the lead singer for a reoccuring band named Love Handle, he's had several other ones too, that's just the most notable. i loved the ep when they had thier biggest fan and he had a freaking nerdgasm!!!!!

i loved that ep, aglet! ::swarm of hot girls form around me:: AGLET ::man comes up and gives me a check for one million:: i love it!

I'd love to see more of Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, but at the same time, the fact that her appearances are rare make her stand out more.
