I tried to get my parents to plan a summer trip to Philly, but no, we're going to Quebec instead.
I hope Bay decides to shoot all the best action scenes up in Canada...
Start filming already!! The anticipation is overwhelming!!
What the heck in Bethlehem, PA looks like the Far East???
I'm pretty sure it doesn't start filming until June. That's not too far away, though. June 26th, 2009, now THAT is too far away!
I hope Starscream decimates my alma mater - Lehigh (01' and 02')
i been there cause my ex goes to school there......... idk what these people are smoking but it looks NOTHING like the far east
who knows how one goes about finding info on open casting calls for transformers
That's also information I'd like to have.
amazing. i kept thinking after the news for filming in philly: why don't they just take an hour trip north to the valley, it's so much nicer
i'm drawing a blank at the moment, and i live here. and i assume it's too late to try to be an extra, though i'm not really interested, but that's not gonna stop me from literally getting as close to the set as possible. i'm going to have to keep checking the paper to see if there's any articles or details about it, and i'm sure there will be.
I can't wait to see this movie, its so going to rock!!!
Where did you hear that the entire movie takes place in the far east?
Here, here. . .
Careful, careful. . .we don't even know if this is true. Could be Bay pulling our leg once again.
Sweet, Bethlehem is about an hour's drive for me.
I wanna go there when they are filming and try to get on as an extra.
The only thing I can even think of are the burnt-out husks of Bethlehem Steel under the Minsi Trail Bridge.
But they better hurry before it's all SLOT MACHINES over there...
Damn, why couldn't they have done this 20 years ago when I lived there!?!? LOL
And I think those old Beth Steel facilities were long ago converted to retail space... It's a shame - Those were HUGE building and the time I was in them was a neat experience. The far end was so far away, it almost looked like a painting.
that's the first thing i thought of, but it just doesn't strike me as having a far eastern feel; but we obviously don't know exactly what they're trying to do.
you'd be surprised at how much is left. just sitting there. it still can be quite surreal to look at. my late grandfather worked there back in its heyday.
well, i hope we're not getting our leg pulled on the location itself. that'd be really shitty to do, getting people's hopes up. i'm already in the process of alerting family and friends to keep their eyes and ears open. my older nephews loved the movie; they're gonna go nuts when they hear.
They just might be almost dilapidated enough to sub in for a modern-day Chinese factory.
Or they plan on hanging a whole heck of a lot of paper lanterns...
Why does everyone think that the whole entire Transformers film is going to be set in the far east?
You guys DO realize that most major productions film in many different locations...right?
