Phil Hartman as a transformer (if he was still alive or during the 80's)

I'm kinda going back a bit with my favorite VA's. This time instead of mentioning one of today's va's, I am mentioning both someone from the 80's and someone who is no longer with us. However, despite being an 80's voice actor, Phil Harman sadly never got the chance to do a voice in Transformers. He did do voices in Challenge of the Gobots however. As well as Smurfs, The Jetsons, the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo and the Pink Panther and Sons.

Anyway, if Sunbow hired him for G1 in the 80's, OR if he was still alive, which Transformer character do you think Phil Hartman could've done the voice of.

I think Phil would've been good as Ratchet, or Alpha Trion. Hot Shot for both the Unicron Trilogy or Animated would've been good too.

    Anyone else?

I remember him from such movies as "Three Bots and a Matrix", and "The Good, the Bad, and the Energon."

I agree about Swindle. But I do like the late Johnny Haymer and Fred Willard too.

Hmmm... Now that I think of it, since I consider Fred Tatascore as the "new Frank Welker", perhaps I should now think of Fred Willard as the "New Phil Hartman". That sounds like a capitol idad. :D

    Jolly good old lad. :)

Broadside or Waverider. Played like Captain Carl from Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

Sentinel Prime in Animated. Phil Hartman would have been great in Animated.

    Thread over.

No? Oh, okay then. If not Swindle, then maybe Nightbeat. Noir with just a little goofy edge to it.

I'm going to have to go with Tracks as well. That just feels right for some reason.

    ^This.

You know i always felt Sentinel reminded me of Zapp Braningan who was supposed to be played by Phil Hartman before he died.

I know that would of been cool.

Also I miss Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure on the Simpsons.
