As if Shia saying that he signed on for 3 wasn't enough.....
Good: More Movies and toys! Prime is here to stay!

Bad: Possibly less "new" robot characters due to heavy $$$. :(

Ugly: My wallet will be hurting. BADLY. Damn movie toys and their kick-ass designs.

I agree with everything you just said. But this leaves many ideas on how they'll mold this trilogy into a masterpiece.

At least 2 or 3 new TFs in the next sequel will do me good. :)

I at least want to see Shockwave, Soundwave, Jetfire, and most importantly, Bludgeon's Autobot killing spree. That would have a tremendous impact on the story.

    Oh and also the Nemesis.

    and the Matrix of Leadership.

The Dinobots and Devastator need to make an appearance by at least the 3rd movie. Seeing them do battle on the big screen would be awesome.

    This is news?

I thought this was announced at the end of last year's Peter Cullen panel at BotCon.

At least, that's what I had heard while at the show.

    *shrug*

We'll probably see new robots, the good thing is the models developed for this movie can be re-used and they can make 3 or 4 more each for the new movies.

Honestly not trying to be rude here, but what do people see in Bludgeon? I'm not directing this at you, netkid, 'cause I've seen Bludgeon getting lots of love from many fans, but I just really don't understand it. He's an interesting character, I guess, but no more so than many other characters, and there's lots that I personally would rather see. So can someone please explain to me why Bludgeon is "the hawtness"?

I think it's that whole "He's like Skeletor, except he's a Transformer, and Simon Furman made him kick-ass" debacle personally.

    If I remember correctly:

He basically pulled off what Megatron only dreamed of.
Victory for the Decepticons and the utter extinction of the Autobots.
    Until Optimus Prime only remained.
It took the arrival of "The Last Autobot" and Optimus Prime to cause a "divine intervention" that convinced Bludgeon to stop his killing spree.

Bludgeon is particularly interesting to think about in the film's style of characters. It's really a perfect match, I would think.

Are the main characters going to scan new forms or are we going to get similar looking toys?

The sequel should focus on one specific plot, with enough background shit to keep you happy. Stupid example:

    - Overall plot, government creates super weapon to neutralize Transformers spark
    - Decepticon "disguises" as an Autobot (think Sideways), people get freaked, government decides to use weapon on all Transformers
    - Autobots have to stop Decepticons and humans from causing the end of the Transformers race
    - In the mean time, we see combiners, triple changers, and Grimlock.

Save your really cool stuff until the 3rd and 'final' movie
    (Think "Venom" in Spider-Man 3)

I wonder if they will show TFs toys in the 2nd movie, as it would probably happen in real life if giant robotic heroes were to be discovered.

(Or think about the Fantastic Four movie).

Not surprising. This movie had "franchise" written all over it from the start.

I can't say if this is good or bad, as I obviously haven't seen the movie yet, but it at least means two more periods where I get to save a ton of money by not buying ugly-ass movie toys. :D
