As members of this Transformers community, do you have any pet peeves towards the Transformers franchise?

For example, I just finished reading the novel Transformers Exodus and I realized one of my new pet peeves has been the over used line of "One shall stand, one shall fall." Oh man that line use to be so cool and give me chills! Now it's in every continuity and it has become so dull for me that I find myself laughing a little bit everytime I hear it.

Does anybody else have minor annoyances that you can't help but laugh at?

 

That's one of my pet peeves too. Overuse of G1 movie quotes is really starting to piss me off. Especially in Prime where it has already been used like what, 3 times?

Also, how human characters are in almost every series. I know it makes it a bit easier to relate to the show...but ugh why. Especially in the Unicron trilogy where they're annoying as piss and make me want to rip my hair out

 

I remember reading a trilogy of Tf novels back during the Dreamwave days. All 3 ended with the threat being defeated by the Matrix. Since then, I've gotten really sick of the Matrix being used to solve all the Autobot's problems.

Also, Prime dying/coming back. Enough already!

 

Personally speaking, I -hate- how Bumblebee has basically become THE main Transformer in everything while also now being TF's equivalent of R2-D2, the whole face-plate thing being replaced by mouths-with-"battle masks", and Megatron's so-called alt mode just being flying alien wreckage. Also annoyed at the small redundant 5-bot casts of Autobot characters that's been happening since the first movie... then Animated... then Prime.

On the other side of the coin, I'm pretty annoyed with Hasbro's now ongoing theme of cheap/lazy paint apps on their figures, their shitty "one chance to get this figure when you see it or else it's gone forever!" distribution, and their totally random way of selcting figures to be released.

The robot swear words.

Transformers: Energon.

 

God, this. Curse or don't. "Scrap" every ten seconds in Prime is really fucking annoying.

 

Yep, this ten year streak of Autobots and Decepticons. I wish Hasbro would had kept on showing new factions and characters. Then also have the now and then fan nods for special events. But no, now I see stuff like "Which is the better Optimus Prime?" or "Which is the better Starscream?" I wish there would had been one character, that way the character remained special. G1 era fans had their own characters, Beast Era fans that their own characters, the fans after that should had as well. Instead they got stuck with characters of the past that were rebooted, over and over.

 

Biggest pet peeve is people who get belligerent about any Tf-related topic and tell you that whatever thing/show/brand you like is wrong and cite reasons why. It makes me not want to even read threads at times. Oh, and overly whiny, reasonless Hasbro bashing gets VERY old fast

 

Generally when robots die and then come back to life somehow = zero drama.

 

Prime's epic speeches are getting to the point where they're not epic anymore, they just come off as trite and cliche. TF: Prime's Optimus really suffers from this, IMO. Let's have him talk like a real being again, please. They don't need the speeches to make him heroic.

Also in relation to Prime, mute Bee. I loved movie Bee and he had the radio to help provide personality. He had tons of personality and it worked (still think he should have gotten his voice back sometime during the trilogy though).... But the beeping with Prime's Bee is getting annoying to me - give him a voice already! The beeping lacks the communication the radio/song lyrics provide. And it hinders the character so much.

Stoic Optimus Prime. Prime is way to stiff now, I miss TFA Optimus Prime.

The Cancelled TFA Figures.

Opened Fist hands that can cause stress marks.

Calling Armada, Energon and Cybertron a trilogy as they are not a trilogy. Energon should nort exist. Armada and Cybertron are better off on their own.

One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall in Transformers Prime, Seriously they actually ruined its epicness.

The Rarity of RTS figures, (Luckily i have figs like Wreck-Gar and Windcharger)

The Star TV Dubs of Headmasters (like why not get a good dubbers to dub this show)

Optimus having to come back after he supposedly dies. Why friggin bother then.

Fans complaining on trivial things like Trukk not Munky, Pokeformers, flames and chins.

The robot swear words are okay if not overly used. When the human characters start to swear that way, too, or worse yet, the FANS, I rage with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.

Also, hearing endless variations of the same opening theme song leaves me bored. I wish we got something new.

 

The inferior US toy releases. At least most the time.

 

Oh, another thing. Takara's chrome fetish.

 

Hasbro's distribution practices really grind my gears.
Also like someone else said, how bumblebee has pretty much become the main character in almost all the timelines. Just a couple examples.

Full agreement. When the FANS do it I combine with the Ragecons and form Fuckmadastator, a being of pure, relentless, unending and aimless fury.

 

I can't stop transforming a toy mid way. If there a fire in my house and I am in mid transformation I might die in my house lol.
