oh? ok. Thanks for posting. Seriously though, cremating pets is such a rip off. When I had my cat put down, they were like "do you want her cremated?" I was like "how much?". I think it was like $100, I'm like "What difference does it make to me what you do with the body once I hand her over?" Pay $100 when they can just stick her in the dumpster for FREE. Either way the body is going to disappear, right?
Wow.... I will never forget the day my Dad and I went to an emergency clinic on Va Beach Blvd and we were sitting in the parking lot and we watched this older couple bring their beloved dog, it was a little one, in to be put down. The lady was bawling like a little kid and there was nothing to be done, and he said something about them losing their kid and after I lost Susie, I knew exactly what he meant. That article was my greatest fear when we allowed our pets to be cremated, to be so emotionally distraught at the time of a pet's death and surrender control to an outside entity and receive pot ash in return. It's vile, despcable, and a violation of the worst kind. I paid to have Sue and Missie cremated after our poor Honey was done in a mass cremation and we never received her cremains. Since then, our animals arrangements have been through Pet Cremation Services of Tidewater. After speakng with the owner's wife and makng arrangements for Missie from NH(for my Mom in Va), I wouldn't even consider them go elsewhere. Sounds crazy but I have a sense of peace knowing the girls are with me and when I'm ready I'll bury them but till then I have them on a shelf enjoying the sunny days.
wow you heard about this in new zealand? this actual story is about a woman from a town called Ripley, in derbyshire which is the next time along from where i live. about 2-3 miles in distance terms and it has shocked our local towns and villages but never expected the news to be so far circulated! kinda of gives a bad name to the area i live
OMFG what an .... *insert several swear words of your choice* I feel for the people who got scammed by this person.
LOL. I don't trust ANY pet crematoriums. Who says that cup of ashes you get is actually Fluffy, and not a mix of Tweety, Fido, and Rex?
whenever one of our medium doxhounds pass on from old age over the years my family just pays a realtive who specilizes in concrete to palce the body in a air tight concrete box which we then bury in the backyard garden which has over time been turned into a small family cemetary for our deceased pets
Seriously? Foster and MMM are right. Really, this is what? 3 threads this week alone with horrible pet stories? You know, this is a tragic thing, but for the time being at least, enough is enough. It's quite obvious this kind of thing goes on each and every week but I would suggest we've had enough of this type of "news" for one week. The "shock" factor is wearing thin and sadly we're replacing it with SMH.
Seriously, this is getting old. It's sucks yeah, but I'm pretty sure you're just doing it because these threads get attention now.
Im sorry if this is getting old, I just find the news and post it here at my own expense. I dont care about attention im just posting what I can find. The only times I get to see stuff like this and other news stories is only whenever I sign out of Hotmail and it takes me to the local news page which holds both local and international news.
Seriously? You don't throw away cremated pets. They're cremated and their ashes are put into an urn so you can keep them. Just like cremating dead relatives. All our dogs and cats are cremated, and with the exception of Bear, who's on a chest in the front hall, the rest are in a cabinet in the kitchen. It's sentimental. It's a way of honouring how loyal and loving they've been.
Because you are a sick person who deserves to be kicked in the nuts? Or because you were the women dumping the bodies?
Down boy. It was moreprimelands post that I though was funny, but that is more of an inside thing between us from another thread. Move along now as there are more people on the internet that you can wish phyiscal pain on.
