I bought one of those E-Z RoTF toys from a Japanese store a few months ago and stopped for a while. I've been saving up some money to get Dead Rising: Off the Record, some Prime toys, and a few of the DotM toys. I went through a drought, but I just bought a Generations Wheeljack on the weekend. The storm is coming in.
Last time I bought anything was mid-August, and the next time I'll be able to pick up anything will be mid-October.
I think the last thing I bought was back in the beginning of July when the DotM figures starting coming out.. before then it was hit or miss, and honestly, I think something in my head clicked the collector bug off or something, because I don't feel the need anymore... not till tfp toys come out anyway, and even then I'm not all psyched up. The longest I've gone though was about 4 months before it really started getting at me before I cracked up on the plasticrack.
I was having a two month long dry spell, then I decided to look at some older figures I missed out on and I've been happy since.
Right now honestly. In reality my last "purchase" for a Transformer was in late August, but I just got my PoL about a week ago. I think I'm refraining from any Transformers purchases other than some ebay finds until Prime.
last thing I got new was RTS Scourge about 2 weeks ago but before that it was like 2 months since I got DOTM Jolt. and itll prolly be just as long till I get anything else unless I happen to find a RTS Wreckgar or G2 Prime
Never really kept track, but there was probably a month or two there during RotF/HtfD where I didn't buy a thing.
Earlier this month my POL shipped and I got DOTM Skywarp, Stormbomb and Blood: The Dark Warrior. I haven't actually bought anything from retail since getting Guzzle really.
lets see, since june, outside kre-o, this is all the transformers related stuff i bought: commander hatchet prime deluxe prime commander guzzle and today fansproject thundershred came in but i'm focusing on kamen rider, super sentai, figma, and thundercats right now, so that is the reason for it
I bought a lot at AA, before that I went quite mental at BC. Got itchy wallet syndrome last month and spent more than I should have at KOtoys and chimungmung. Kind of just waiting for Generations and Prime now. And of course third-party goodies.
Just bought a house (omw to pick up keys today \o/) so it looks like I'll be out of the collecting game for a while to come.
Now THAT is a legitimate excuse. Congratulations! For me, I skipped everything after G1 until Beast Wars. After BW and BM, I skipped the A/E/C saga because, well, it sucked. Got back into it with the movies and Animated. Since then, the longest has probably been two months. If I don't get something at retail, I can usually find something good in the Sales Thread here.
1 week. Whenever the urge takes me over and there's nothing out there I just pop into the nearest RoMaTJ and pick up a Grapple.
Well, I just got into collecting hardcore so I can't say - maybe a month since that point. Before that it wasn't important, I got them here and there and my VG addiction was how I counted months in between purchases.
Last time I purchased anything Transformers related was back whenever the Generations wave came out with Wheeljack and Warpath. Third party stuff is more than I want to spend on a casual hobby and the movie stuff just isn't my things so until there is more Generations or maybe the Transformers Prime figures I just don't see me buying any Transformers any time soon. If it wasn't for all the figures on my shelf and dropping by here I'm not even sure if I'd count as a Transformers collector any more.
