I just hope Cesium X isn't released in the same manner than Phoenix X was. I hope it is more readily available.

 

does anyone know if they are still planning on doing an x version of this or is that dead now? usually repaints are out pretty fast as its easy money but this seams to have fallen off the face of the earth. Wondering if they thought that the tolerances were too tight with issues they already had and adding paint layers would make it even worse?

Cesium has a slightly different aesthetic, so I'm actually more surprised that PF didn't come out with the rest of the Dinobots to complete it. If PF was supposed to be a FT sub-line, I wonder why it never went further with these guys. An X version would be really great, but it would imply that they would do X version of the rest of them.

 

The whole point of Caesium was because Scoria was an early attempt by FT at such a big bot and there were things they weren't happy with - hips, shoulders and the overall smaller size compared to the later Dibots. The rest of the Dibots didn't have those issues so there was no need for FT (or PF) to re-do them.
And I think the fact that Quietus moved from a PF release to a main FT release means that PF is done and dusted and was only really a one off.

I actually would like PF to do the rest of the dinos. I need alt mode versions of them and don't really want to have to pay for full price FT releases. I have Scoria and Caesium, have Grinder and can pick up MP-08 or Reximus, but have no GOOD, G1 alterntaives for Swoop, Snarl or Sludge. Giga stuff, while it appeals to some, is so far off G1 for me it's not even an option and there's really nothing else to cover those bases.
Unless Takara ever gets around to doing the Dino's (and I can't understand why they wouldn't, they're cool popular character) I'm going to have to pick up three more expensive FT Dino's... sigh. Of course, if Takara DID do MP Dino's their price would be even more insane than Ft's.

 

Pf originally said that they were going to do a X version. It never happened so wondered if it was still going to or not. I am going to guess it’s not at this point.

I'm about to sell mine off, sucks cause I sold off FT04 for this. Cesium doesnt look right next to the other 4 Dinos with his larger than Grimlock bot size and big head.

 

Yeah I’m torn with cesium , Dino mode he looks great but his bot mode looks off from the rest of the set. Also just last week I swapped out the silver horns for the red once , but wanted to change his thighs to black and the dam screws got stripped. There goes the resale value

 

There have been so many pictures and reviews showing them together. Was it a case of in person you didn’t like the look but pictures ok? I’m just confused on how you didn’t know what you were getting compared to the others.

 

Weird choice seeing as how all of the X Dinobots sold out pretty well.

 

their old stuff is still selling for ridiculous prices so why put out new stuff that could disrupt that? that could be their thinking.

 

Are you implying that FT sees any of the profit from resale of their figures?

 

I can understand his issue. I was in the same boat, having to choose between Scoria, that had lots of issues and didn't look quite right, and Cesium, who was just a bit too large. I went with Cesium, but still am not thrilled with the decision.
