Caved and picked up Cesium, and now that he's in hand I'm glad that I did. I never acquired the original Scoria, and picked up FT-04X during a sale. I like him a lot, but he sticks out like a sore thumb while on the shelf with the rest of the gang. Cesium fits in much better.

That being said, I'm confident that I'd have been perfectly happy with Scoria considering my wishy-washiness about pre-ordering Cesium (assuming the quality was on par with my FT-04X).

Cesium is great though, don't get me wrong. No real QC issues other than the common loose wrists; I actually had more problem with one particularly tight finger that refused to fold up during transformation at first. He feels great in hand, and looks real good in both modes. Lament the lack of ankle tilt though.

I recommend Cesium to 1) those who don't have Scoria, 2) those whose Scoria had sizable issues, and 3) those who have the means and want a little something new. Happy with your Scoria? Excellent; I have no intention of selling mine. He's going to live with MP Grimlock on another shelf (I have Grassor as well, by the way). Save your funds for something else cool if Scoria makes you happy; otherwise Cesium is pretty darn nifty! :thumb

True, but since there is something already toy accurate on the shoulders they will probably make 2 shoulder sets, one reflective blue and the other I recommended. We will see...

Oh God, I was thinking about this during the time I visited the museum. IMG_20170928_130949.jpg
Now I'm desperately hoping that I can pick up Soar at TFcon. Especially the blue X version because then I'll be fossil accurate to the flying thing on the top right with clear wings and rockets.

Believe it or not, we all have reptilian brains. Ours is just under our normal brain at the tip of the spine. Most of our impulses stem from there.

I've just been trying to transform mine and I can't get one leg to fold round properly?
It's like it needs one more click on the ratchet so that the 2 leg halves can click together.
It looks like the ratchets maybe a little chewed but messing with them I can't see anything that would stop it moving visible.
Anyone had any issues like that so far?

Cesium, Grassor and Scoria. While like them all (Slag was my favorite Dinobot) Grassor looks boss. And is my favorite version of slag. Just wish gigapower would have hid the tail.

Per request by er4smiths, here are a couple of quick shots of Scoria, Cesium, and Grassor side-by-side. I may try and take a few better comparison shots of all three over the weekend. Apologies for the crappy lighting.

It’s like the prehistoric version of the three bears. Pappa bear, Mamma bear and Baby bear.

Anyone else having a clearance/tolerance issue with the back in alt mode. For me it just doesn't clear and sit in flush on the back. The plastic is already getting stressed due to it. I'm going to ask for a replacement piece to see if it was a manufacturing issue.

Thanks, I figured I would have to shave about a mm from that spot. As it is now they designed it wrong by molding it into a straight accross piece instead of accounting for the curve from the back. The opening in the back is molded in an acute angle under the recess, but yeah no clearance and should have designed the part to be slightly concave. Again I appreciate your time in replying. Cheers

I can make and send you a sticker for the forehead. But I need to get the figure first to know the exact size that it needs to be. I'll probably be getting the 2nd run Phoenix.

Is that FT directly? How do you contact them.
Or is it through your supplier.
It's really annoying as it's a pinned area and it can be a nightmare to send things back of this size.
