I was panicking trying to get a gift for a friend of mine.
I hate buying her trinkets and clothes, and i try to give something that she will know came from me.
She is a die hard, bleeds red and white, Auburn are P***ies, Alabama fanatic.

and i found this, ordered it today for her:

it is a battlehead. Hand painted, vinyl mask with official helmet logo sticker.
    Full-size replica helmet.
it can be worn at games or just displayed.

according to the maker, each one is unique- no 2 alike and thus collectible.
she has tons of prints, posters, and things, but not one of these. so did i score a TD or fumble?

I think it would be a great gift, especially since it can be worn on gameday.

Does the maker only manufacture Bama gear? I might be interested in picking up a version with Smokey

Maybe. Even if she's really into football, girls (in my experience) don't get as ridiculous on game day as guys do. But even so, as a display item, she might dig it. And hell, maybe she really is that nuts.

Do you have a relationship with her? If so, putting a set of 'Bama underwear inside the head as well might be a bonus gift. Not anything scandalous, just panties and a sports bra with the logo...or that creepy elephant.

Whatever. No offense, jorod, but I don't dig that. That thing is...creepy. Give me two rolls of toilet paper and a detergent box anyday. Hell, I just wear three things - Bama shirt/jersey, Bama hat, and Jack Daniels. That's my gameday attire. well, and jeans/shorts, but you get the picture.

    BTW, go Chizik, eh?

Yes, she is THAT nuts about bama.
No. we are best friends (since 85) and so i doubt panties, a bra, or any of that would be cricket.
(i still beg each fall for her to wear the Crimson & White cheerleader outfit just once for me.)

I just wanted something that was special, uniquely "Me" to her and well, reflects her 'tude on game day. she won't ever wear it and i hope she doesn't. she's too cute to sport tusks and a trunk longer than mine, LOL.

SunnyDay77- all I am gonna say about Coach Cheezit is:
5-19? gonna love the next 2 Iron Bowls (till they fire him.)

These are the only ones they make at the moment:

Seriously, doc, if I was an Auburn fan, I would be PISSED off right now. Money's not an option? Going to compete against Meyer, Saban, Richt, etc.? I think Jay Jacobs dropped the ball. Honestly, it sucks and Auburn is going to have a tough going as long as Jacobs and Lowder are around. Of course, I could be wrong and Chizik could be the next coming of Stoops, Caroll, or Butch Davis. But I doubt it.

Jorod - not to sound like llamatron, but I think we need pics to adequately determine whether or not bras and panties are appropriate. We are experts, and you are too close to the situation to make that call. We are waiting :lol

How does Wake Forest get one and GA Tech doesn't?

That's some bullshit right there. :banghead:

But yeah, if she digs 'Bama that much and y'all aren't together at all, then that's probably a really thoughtful gift--if nothing else, it shows you know her and put effort into it, and that's 90% of a great gift right there.

And yeah, Chizik? What were they thinking? Hopefully the plan is to save some money up over the next few years so's they can afford a real coach in 2015.

    CNNMoney.com || Auburn's AD: Tuberville's resignation a surprise

Don't think money is an issue, and if it is, there are a lot of falseties that need to be addressed to the Auburn Alumni and Fans by their athletic department. Further, if he did in fact resign and Auburn gave him the buyout ($5.1 million) as a "thanks for your service" gift....eh I dunno, sounds a little odd.

And, yeah, can't figure out Wake Forest and not Gatech. I mean, you guys ARE the rambling wreck!

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out next season.
They have a news release on their site that announces a Yellow Jacket version to be coming, but it's a year plus old.

I would actually think about getting one, if only to rock out with at the upcoming Peach Bowl--got pretty good seats, row 22 on the 25.

Only way Auburn can make me laugh harder is by hiring Charlie Weiss in 2 years.

I was talking to an ex girlfriend of mine. She is a huge LSU fan and lives in Baton Rouge. She has gloated the past few years, but she won't even talk about football now.

I pester my neighbor about the Bama-LSU game, telling him that LSU stands for "Lower Standards University."
As soon as Chizik was hired, he told me Auburn took that title.

ain't fun to poke fun of a guy that correct.
