    Short answer: Yes!

Long answer: I agree with the OP's opinion of being rather underwhelmed with the alt-mode (so much so that I haven't - and probably won't - transform him) and I have no use for the head mode. Still, I'm a huge fan of Fort Max in MTMTE and I'm SO happy to have this guy because he is the perfect representation of that character. Many days, I just sit and stare at this figure in awe of how superior he is compared to all the others around him.

I can see where you are coming from. As a figurine, he looked amazing but the alts does feel a bit underwhelming. The tank mode is alright as he does reminds me of a mobile HQ on tank tracks. I doubt i'll keep it in alt mode as the robot mode looked badass. I did quite like Fort Max in the IDW comics, PE just made a perfect representation of him. I am getting figurines that will sort of match up to PE's quality as it will look odd if the other figurines arent as good. It is just the constant bashing at Warden that he is just a partsformer that isnt even worthy to be a transformer made me hesitate on my decision. The details and attention to detail of Warden rivals to some of the more expensive diecast i own.

The only question, which color should I go for? Both colors looked amazing.

^he has an altmode? lol. warden is fantastic, the headmaster articulation puts the other 3rd part headmasters to shame. i have no attachment to the character and i dont think this will ever leave my shelf.

I held off so long... He's on his way, does anyone have an opinion on the Reprolabels for him?

So I got my Warden, and I answered my own question HERE, and it's pretty awesome.

I'm a bit late to the game, but I just ordered mine today. Any qc issues come up with any of yours? Have you purchased the add on?

I have a Perfect Effect Warden with upgrade kit for sale. Comes with everything it did as if I bought him brand new, all original boxes and manuals for both the figure and upgrade kit. I bought him a few days ago from BBTS and have never transformed him either. He is solid. Price with shipping is $180 and pick up in NYC area for $170. PM me if interested

The biggest issue that holds me back from getting him, is the whole parts-forming issue. I understand why he does it, but, I'm not fond of it.

I do like he is a headmaster, who becomes another headmaster himself.

How's this guy stack up with masterpiece scaled figs? Is he passable or does he come in short?

Way too short, even with the leg upgrade.

Scales pretty well with Generations, though. Which he kind of fits better aesthetically with anyway, really.

Yeah I totally agree. I think this figure looks amazing in all modes, but I'm REALLY not a fan of parts-forming. I think not having parts-forming is what sets good TFs apart from other transforming robots and I feel like it's much more impressive to design a bot that doesn't break into a million pieces when they transform. That being said, this guy might just be awesome-looking enough for me to pull the trigger on.

I've watched transformation vids for this guy, but is it possible to cut down on the parts-forming by not transforming him completely or even abandoning one or two of his modes? I mean, scout tank mode is just his backpack on the ground and super tank doesn't even look much like his IDW alt mode... I'm mostly interested in super robot mode and commander mode (aka the big head cause that's jut funny to me).

This thread desperately needs pictures of Warden combined with Fort Max.

    So I took one...

Ugh ... PE sorely needs to make their version of Fortress Maximus to go along with their Warden.
