When a figure is this damn good I don't care about "parts forming" and all the other little gripes. It works, and it works beautifully.

The Tank mode: compared to some of the "Cybertronian" Alts in the likes of FOC (Vortex/Whirl and Brawl) people really can't see this Big. Beast fitting right in with that kind of aesthetic ....only better? I remember back to Galaxy Force 'Plex ( who even has the same paint scheme as Warden) and an Alt that really pushed the boundaries of "fold his elbows, kneel him down and call it done" and this is several classes ahead of that. It's a big, working vehicle and I like it. It's not as if the Comics gave them that much of a steer on "Vaguely Cybertronian Tank Mode"

And is anyone really going to argue it doesn't turn into a head?

    Think about it.

It's just kinda funny what does and doesn't bother me when it comes to parts-forming. Anything that is essentially a weapon or accessory is A-OK with me so in this case the missile pods and the small gun I don't mind at all. The part that was killing me was the backpack/face but as it turns out you don't have to remove it at all to go from bot to head mode (even if the connector is kind of a gimme, call it the placebo effect) and that to me made this guy perfectly acceptable. The gun tank mode, yeah, you have to remove the backpack/face and reattach it and that's kind of a drag but really I consider that whole mode to be a bonus. I totally bought this guy on the merits of him turning into a giant version of his own head and on that note I am very pleased.

I agree dude, He looks absolutely fantastic on Brave MAX. the gun and treads do as well. reason being is Brave Max has so much detail on him due to paint and whatnot. and all the Warden pieces compliment it nicely. I had mine displayed like that just last night.

it felt special because my Wife bought me Brave Max as an anniversary gift back in 2008.

    Brilliant work.

Agreed. Their take on Reflector was a huge turning point in my appreciation of their work. It's almost a signature now.

    Tank bastard is bastard.

Working treads, enormous cannon, cockpit with pilot.
    It's tank bastard.
It won't buy you a drink and it will have its way with you.
Tread marks on your face, memories that even drinking bleach won't erase. How you long for the time a bath cleaned you.

I agree as well, Tank Bastard is the unofficial name for Warden. That photo is nice. I have been so busy with school I have yet to allocate the time to fiddle with Warden. Hopefully, after this semester, I will have the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful figure.

I really want this figure but I don't know if I can justify the $150. His robot mode is one of the most beautiful designs I've seen.

Also, I love the headmaster meta with this guy. :lolol

While I am painfully waiting for my copy of this figure to be delivered, I have a question to the owners: I have the Headrobots TFCon Stronghold set and the Centurion two head set that were made for the Classics Voyager Onslaught figure. They also had adapters so the heads would work with G1 Headmaster toys.

Do you think it's possible to modify one of those adapters so that I can use those 3 other heads with Warden? I like options.

Picked one of these up recently and the quality is outstanding, the paint apps, the joints, the overall finish and poseability are just up there with the best. Can't wait to see what they do with Skorpy.

So I just transformed mine out of head mode and the paint on the forehead or the smaller head is scratched.

    Damn it!

I've never painted a figure in my entire life .... is there a customizer who can clue me into what color this may be? Would a small touch up be noticeable? Or maybe I should just leave it as I tend to screw things up worse when I try to "fix" the smaller things.

I recently scratched the exact same part. The gray paint on the forehead of the small robot has scraped off in a couple of places. I've never painted a figure either, so usually when this sort of thing happens I just pretend it's battle damage.

It's only been a month, so I contacted the store I bought it from. They're contacting PE about a replacement, so fingers crossed!

It's so very tempting to try and fix this myself, but you know what'll happen? The glob of paint will bother me, so I'll try to "fix" it by painting the entire forehead. And it won't be the right shade either. I break things when I try to "fix" them, so I'm not going to even try.

If it doesn't work out I'll also try to convince myself it's "battle damage".

This figure is a true work of art. The construction, poseability, paint..everything about this figure is perfect. My only request would have been for it to be a bit taller, but it's still awesome as-is.

I felt exactly the same as you. I picked up a used one for $125 and I can't believe I didn't get this at retail. It is worth every penny of the $150, it is truly the most premium high quality figure I have ever owned. Get it now, you will regret it if you don't and you ever get to fiddle with someone elses.

Really? Warden is really that good?

Dont get me wrong as the pictures look great but is it really that amazing in person? I am still considering between Fans Project's Sludge or PE's Fort Max.
