I wonder if I can switch the black parts from the blue with the white parts from the pink? Damn, where's a digi-basher when you need one?
From the looks of it, some of the white parts are painted. If it is possible, you'd have a little bit of painting to do.
Oh well. Back to the drawing board...
*BANG* Just pulled the trigger from Toyarena.
Can you take a pic of Pink with the same angle and pose as Blue above?
Will be difficult to do so for most parts, probably have to take the paint route if you desire to do the colour switch.
Not exactly the same angle but the same pose:
And here are some pics with the TF Prime Arcee(s):
And more picture poses of the both the pink and blue Perfect Effect Arcee(s):
And finally a picture of Arcee and Kup:
I love both the blue and the pink Perfect Effect Arcee figures. There is some diecast at the leg section of the figures making them bottom heavy and very good for many poses. And the figures themselves features great articulation.
Transformation is complex to some extent and some parts are delicate, have to take great care in transforming. Have a few other perfect effect figures, and at first I was wondering why this one has a higher price tag compared to the other perfect figures before, but having them in hand, I realized the diecast involved, the size & part integration etc, it is about that price tag for third party products in general, and I'll have to say that Perfect Effect is one of the third party company that comes out with good products.
And good customer service and fast shipping from Robotkingdom!
I'll certainly be buying the Black Arachnia version.
These pictures have convinced me.
Yeah, me too. I look forward to the Arachinia motorbot too.
I... am going to have to get all three, aren't I?
Great pics pingth! Thanks for posting those, much appreciated.
Love how the blue Motobot looks a lot like the Prime Arcee in terms of color.
Hoping to get her soon!
Some pics by tekering from the supah cleah thread
My pink RC finally showed up. I've gotta say this toy is gorgeous in both modes and has poseability out the wazoo. The only problem I had was the pistols did not fit one of the holsters on her back because the tab was too thick.
This is the definitive Arcee for my Classics collection. It's an update to the character and not an attempt to create the G1 animation model, which is the role of the MP line imo.
I agree with this.
Totally good to read all this positive feedback. This is definitely going to be my next purchase.
I need Microman series Rei Ayanami for my PE motorbots!
That pink RC looks damn good. I ultimately went with the blue but hot damn...maybe I'll get the pink one later on if it is still available after I get some of my other wants first. As long as I have at least one RC I'll be happy anyway.
Oh man I might not be able to hold out long enough for the BA version of this...the blue is getting way to tempting considering that the motobot stuff won't come with the same backpack configuration and weapons.
Though I saw earlier in the thread that the head piece had stress marks when trying to transform it. Were those issues an isolated case or will there be some replacement or refinement to the mold?
get the Figma Rey instead
Isolated. You'd have to pretty much rageforce her chest closed on that part to accomplish that. There were several steps in her transformation that I was either not understanding or the directions were straight-up wrong about. In those cases I applied quite a bit of force and I did not manage to break the toy or even generate stress marks.
My advice is:
-The pistols will fit her backpack. It's really tight but mine eventually went on without any stress marks or breakage.
-Her kneepads will rotate smoothly once the joint behind them is in proper position. Forcing it will pop the pads right off.
-Her feet do not go all the way into her calves; they halt at the two round little stoppers on her foot-strut. The directions tell you to cram them all the way in but you just can't.
-You can easily see how much clearance her head/neck/clavicle panel has inside her chest when you try to close it up. The chest will offer some resistance but as long as the panel is clear of it you can push it shut with no worries.
