While the Perect Effect figures look fantastic there is another option if you want them. These may not be what you are looking for but at least they are options.

yeah i have considered those. but i hate the size honestly. these guys are just too small and not as blocky as i like. they look too cybertronian(which fits great for the WFC look. but not the classics look)

they really hurt the wallet, but they are really hard to do w/ out... they fit the classics collection perfectly I think.. Yeah then you'll be screwed because you'll need the scouting force and the others. I've been clean for a while, only got f&r and scouting force myself, I try to avoid pictures and conversations about the others, though. When I'm done typing this I'm going to look at ebay and torture myself.

I agree with this statement to the fullest!

I passed on them the first time around, but bought them all once I got the Scouting Force set (Reflector).

PE products are well made, very fun toys and very addictive... You won't stop with just Frenzy and Rumble and you'll want them all. :lol

    Is it worth it... YES!

I LOVE the mold, but hate the deco on the "official" F&R models, I'd get two Shadow-Warriors and paint 'em up, or commission someone to do it.

    The ones I did:

(Sold 'em still need to make a new set...)

l also agree that the Eject/Rewind mold is MUCH nicer, and that the Camera Crew trumps 'em all.

I am still at a loss as to how they got the 'bots SO right, and the critters SO wrong.

I thought the same thing about buzzsaw and laserbeak until I got them. They rule and have a totally awesome fan mode to look like MTMTE Cybertronian versionsor WFC versions depending on your taste. They rule!

It was the red chest that totally turned me off, my plan was originally to just get the normal decos, but I can't bring myself to do it.

Glad it doesn't bother you so much, that'll save you some trouble.

Yeah, that's my best theory too as to what they THINK they were going for with the designs, but yeesh, I don't care that much about MTME/WFC I guess :/

I've been wondering about these, but I'm not sure if I should just buy the Shadow Warrior versions and repaint them, or the F-R releases. Which is the cheapest method of achieving this?

I have them and think they are really great. I love all P.E little dudes (except the beasts, not a fan of them).

They are great figures if you are into third party items. If you are new to third parties then the Fansproject not-Insecticons are a better bang for your buck.

Pretty sure buy the two-pack is cheaper. And easier, it's tricky painting the trim on these guys. You need really steady hands.

I pre-ordered them on BBTS last week. Can't wait for them. I've actually wanted them for a while but wasn't able to actually to put them in my cart for a while because of other stuff coming up.

Next I'm not really sure if I should buy Laserbeak/Buzzsaw or Eject/Rewind. Leaning towards the latter based on the responses in this thread. Also I need an Autobot PE guy to ride PE Arcee when she comes out...plus they'll match DL Blaster, which is also sitting in my PoL on BBTS.

I love them. Even Kingbat though he is the weakest of the line. The original F/R figures are a bit difficult on their handles in gun mode, not sure if that was fixed in later prints. One of mine has a little trouble staying connected if I play with him, but he stays once posed after I fiddle with it a few moments. The Ninja mold however has a much better handle for the gun mode.

Do not have the Scouting Force, but I am looking forward to attaching everything to my City Commander later this week.

I see what you did thar. :)

Nice paint work too, it really does look WAY better. But to answer the OP, PE stuff is fantastic. I have Reflector and I'm looking into getting F & R too.

Well thank you :)  It helps to have a gold paint marker too, I went over the gold parts since they needed touching up anyway.
