    QFT! Hasbro has done enough US re-issues at this point that we know how they roll. So missiles aren't the deal-breaker

    Now I just wonder if/when we'll see TT Encore this and the Insecticons, G1 style box and all :poke

    I'm wondering why the pics say KO TOYS think people, KO toys. As in knock offs.

    Many Universe, Animated, and RotF toys have missiles. It's not the missiles, but the length. I think they have to be at least two and a half inches in length in America, so they don't get stuck in someone's throat. Most G1 figures missiles are much shorter than that, so they either have to be lengthened for the US or the spring removed so they don't launch.

    I actually don't know if I'll bother with Perceptor or not. I think he's a little ugly. The Insecticons set, however, is a must. And those pictures make me want a Shockwave all the more!

    Lack of spring was considered a foregone conclusion quite some ago, since the missile wasn't altered. Furthermore, Hasbro confirmed lack of spring at Botcon. IIRC.

    The way I see it, no spring actually makes it MORE accurate, as the US-released TF toys in the 1980s generally had their launcher springs weakened to the point of ineffectiveness anyway. :) 

    (other markets are probably another story, but there ya go)

    I don't mind that the spring is removed. Given the current safety standards, it's understandable. It's not like this reissue looks terrible or is completely hobbled by it. I never managed to get Perceptor as a kid, so now's my chance!

    Couldn't we just do like I did with soundwave and, um i dunno put a spring in it by unscrewing it? That would be my choice. I for one love percepter (he's the only one that survived my childhood to today (albeit minus his arm, scope, chest plate, sholder flaps, chromey knobs, gun, missile, pride)
