PEPSI OPTIMUS PRIME arrives in the US: Exclusively at BotCon 2007 and Hasbrotoyshop.com

Originally produced in Japan, PEPSI™ OPTIMUS PRIME has come to the U.S. to celebrate Pepsi’s promotional partnership with the live-action TRANSFORMERS film in theaters on July 4, 2007. This collectible item will be produced in limited quantities as part of the MOUNTAIN DEW TRANSFORM YOUR SUMMER promotion, which launched in May. Check out www.transformyoursummer.com for rules and to register for more details.

PEPSI OPTIMUS PRIME is a G1-styled figure with prominent PEPSI deco featured on the cab and open-bed trailer.

    From the packaging:
It is of paramount importance to OPTIMUS PRIME that his mission and the presence of the AUTOBOTS on Earth remain a secret. Part of maintaining that secret is changing his disguise from time to time, though never so drastically that he has to get used to a whole new vehicle mode. This new disguise helps keep him incognito, hiding his presence from the DECEPTICONS and allowing him to plan their defeat without interruption. As an added bonus, this disguise, like some of his past ones, lets him hook up his fellow AUTOBOTS with some free Earth delicacies they rarely get to enjoy.

You could have the chance to win a PEPSI OPTIMUS PRIME vehicle and other exciting prizes by participating in the TRANSFORM YOUR SUMMER promotion between May 14 and August 5. Look for codes under the cap of specially-marked Mountain Dew, Pepsi and Sierra Mist products and then enter your codes online at www.transformyoursummer.com. You could win one of the 100 PEPSI OPTIMUS PRIME prizes that will be awarded each day of the promotion.

If you aren’t lucky enough to win a PEPSI OPTIMUS PRIME you can purchase yours at BotCon 2007 while supplies last in Providence, R.I., from June 28-30. Limited quantities will also be available on www.HasbroToyShop.com while supplies last.

    ??

    Where do you get $25?

If it is $25, I know that is a lot less than what I've spent on Pepsi.......and that kind of irks me...

$25 is a good deal. I hope I don't miss out! I love the classics styling on the box.

This would be a lot cooler if they contacted the winners of that stupid contest. I mean it's kinda crappy that you could have won one but not know it & then spend money on this one too.

Hmm. Cool. Definently cool for those that weren't able to get (or didn't want to pay import and e-store markups on) the Takara release. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure this guy's going to be highly sought after... hopefully we don't have another Alt Nemesis Prime on our hands! :lol

Of course I'll be in Maine and miles from A) Computer and B) Internet for the next week. Oh well. Spent enough on toys this month (or lifetime, for that matter) anyway :p
