I've been given an airbrush kit, from someone that paints ceramic statues and stuff like that using enamels.

They recommended a product to add to the paint called Penetrol (for airbrushing and regular brushing). According to google it can be used as a primer before the paint or it can be added to the paint mix.

    here is a link:

    The Flood Company Australia

Has anyone used this or anything similar on a Transformer?

Its an Australian product, I'm not sure if they export it.

I have used it when paiting and staining wood. I don't believe it bonds well with plastics however, in fact I believe the label says it will eat certain plastics (soft ones?). I also know that it can not be used with water based paints (Acrylics) since it is an oil based product. Personally I would stay away from it with transformers.

Not sure I have a can arround anymore, I will check though and see if I can get more info.
