Ok, the paint apps look waaay better in person.

Also, when are you getting Ultimate Prime?

As always thanks for the review. Been waiting for it :)

I bought mine last week and I do like him better that Battle Blades Bee. And yes the only disappointment was the size. He's roughly same height as Sidearm Sideswipe. But I love the sculpt and proportions. The more I see DOTM Bee, the more I see the flaws in proportions on the Battle Blades version.

    Just wondering about 2 things.
    1. There seems to be some moldings under the rear windows that looks like guns
    2. Under the middle hood I notice that there are to vertical holes on each side. Wonder what's it for?

Yea, I saw those guns too, but haven't figure out how to utilize them yet. Maybe in vehicle mode? They aren't able to really go anywhere in bot mode.

As for the holes, they're freaking mechtech ports! I just tried it and it works. You can flip that hood piece up behind Bumblebee's head and you can attach a couple of mechtech weapons there using those holes! Good catch!

Bbbb head is the same sized ball joint but the head is bigger and you have to mod the inside of the chest to make room for it when it transforms. btw the backpack does sit lower/held in place by friction you'll notice the notches in the windshield you can actually slide the windshield between the hinge on the doors like so
    [IMG]
And also the hands are also a slight retool of bbbb hands, notice how they don't open as wide as bbbb? That's because its meant to hold the mech tech gun/5mm guns like in my first picture, cheers! Glad you back up why I've been praising this figure.

Yeah, I figured all of that out, except for how you're getting his rifle to stay extended there. Did you put something in there to hold it open?

I'm usually the first to say he's burn out on bee, but for some reason I really want this one and the nitro bee.

Glad he's been shrunk, bb Bee was way too tall to fit in with the other autobots. The elbows turning the right way, rather than the curler arm is a huge plus.

Yeah I put something in the gun you can see it right before the hammer of the gun, to bad it doesn't lock into place that bfg is nice.

Pretty cool figure. I like the door windows that flip up for robot mode, nice touch that could have easily been overlooked to save money.

Nice- I especially liked the group comparison shot! Looks like he'll fit in really well with the rest of the team. Only thing I'm not liking so far is the back kibble.
How does he look next to DotM Barricade?

Great review as usual. I have to say, I'm pleasantly impressed with this mold, and I'd considering picking it up if Takara would give it a premium paintjob.

I agree, nice sculpt, but blah paint. Seems to be the theme of DOTM.

Can't wait for Nitro Bumblebee's review.

BB is kinda short compared to the other autobots in the movie...so it's fine with me

Gah, so I guess you can't do much partswapping with Battle Blades. I was hoping to switch out a good portion of the legs to get some more color, I don't think that's possible anymore...

Nonetheless, a little silver paint can fix it.

This review may have won me over on this figure. Seems pretty neat, dig the transformation. Clever use of windows too. Just wish it had the battle mask, same goes for nitro bee. Battle mask=bi-winning

I'm curious to see how the NASCAR mesh plays into the movie, as both this and the Leader have it. Great review as always!
