He's even better if you're willing to fiddle with things.

Think that's my favorite Blast Off config yet! That but with a Vortarm will probably be my go to set up when mine comes in.

Great review! I've always thought Brawl and Onslaught looked good and Blast Off looked great, but now that fans are getting their hands on them I'm really coming around on Swindle and Vortex. Think the former might be my favorite of the set now! Guess it's like Knock Out, just really needed some fans who're willing to fiddle with it to get their hands on it.

Nice configurations! But I am not a big fan of how vortex looks as a foot. I may just use two brawls as legs, one swindle arm and one vortex arm, or two vortex arms could be cool too (for double the karate chop action :lol ).

That configuration is the best one I've seen. Makes him look fantastic! If Vortex was a slightly bulkier leg it would be perfect.

Also, yeah, in hand he's much better than he originally looked. I only bought mine AFTER we'd seen some in hand photos here. He's not perfect by any means, but he's actually a hell of a lot of fun, and you can probably find a configuration you'll like if you're willing to fiddle.

I flipped his robot mode arms up into their bot mode positions, then just fiddled with the shoulder pads until it looked okay.

I think this is my favorite configuration. I will have to try this when I get home.

I hate that some of last year's SDCC exclusives are still in stock on HTC but this years sold out so quickly that most people weren't able to score one. GRR not paying more than 99.99 + ship for it guess I will get the retail version and save since I don't like the G2 colors

Thanks for this photo, he looks fantastic like this, perfect almost. Will definitely being something similar just with those back cannon things on and make them a wee bit longer by joining Vortex's blades or something.

I think he's referring to getting the retail version, which will total around $75 based on retail price for 5 deluxes.

Nice review. I've been waiting to see an arm configuration for Blast Off that I thought looked decent.

Seeing as how the SDCC version is now going to cost much more money to get, if I get this guy it will either have to be the G2 set or the retail version.

I see. That's the route I'll be taking. If they even show up on shelves here.

Wow, that really does look awesome! Sadly I missed the boat on this version of him but since I have the much cheaper Amazon version on preorder I'm not gonna worry about missing out on this guy too much. I may break down and get the retail version though as November is an awfully long time away.:lol

Thanks for sharing Peaugh! This particular configuration is my favorite, will be looking out for retail for him as well :)
