It's pretty cool, except for the Mechtech thing. And the little blaster hand. And the hunchback. I really like how the chest piece incorporates into the car parts. I'm glad they used the Battle Ops type of legs.

The torso transformation caught me be surprise. That wasn't how I was expecting it to work. A benefit of no electronics, I suppose.

While it is kind of a big hunk of grey, I like the jet pack. I think I would have preferred it if the cannon from the back pack came off and attached to the right arm instead of loosing a hand, but it didn't bug me that much on the HA and it won't bug me too much here. I liked Battle Blades Bee's transformable hand but I don't think it looks as good as it could.

    Hey Peaugh,

Is the head made from the same mold as the Human Alliance BB head? They look identical.

Peaugh, could you post some close up pics of the head with the battle mask down please? When I played around with him, I noticed that in the slot between the two halves of the mask, you can see an Autobot symbol!!! Kinda hard to describe without photos for the folks who haven't had him in hand.

Interesting torso transformation... Can't wait to see that figure covered in weapons... If that's a level 2 transformation, can't wait to see Sentinel's level 3!

Wow. He looks a lot better then I expected him too. It's a shame though, because he does so many things right, and with just a few more transformation steps he could have been even better. :(  Hell, he would have already looked better with a bigger head.

BTW Peaugh, is it possible to push the wheels on his feet in more? It looks like they should be able to.

EDIT: And just realized that this could make for an awesome Cliffjumper. :lol  The beefy robot mode doesn't suit Bumblebee, but for Cliff it could work because it would make him look like a Gears of War-inspired character, especially with the jetpack attached. Hell, even the altmode would work better for him then for Bee, since it looks more like a Camaro meant for the track, not the road.

Ummm... Wow. Hulk Bee Smash! He looks like he bulked up quite a bit from his Human Alliance days!

I like it. It is one curling arm wrist away from greatness.

can't wait for mine. Love the proportions on him. That giant autobot symbol on the mech tech (near the green light) has GOT to go...

Better than I thought, but.....You can tell by eBay prices on the early DOTM stuff that a lot of these will shelf warm.

uhhh, another Bumblebee. And he's huge. Why? And we're not getting a leader Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave and others that should be leaders???? Even the dreads are Deluxes!...So dumb.

Great review! not interested in another BB though. HA still looks to be my favorite. they do have the Battle Ops version in my town on clearance for $30...i may still grab that one for a larger scale version but im saving my leader money for Ironhide first and foremost.

I know there's no use saying it BUT:
Can we please move on from the disappointment of leader slot on bumblebee? we got more than hints that DOTM line will have more leaders than we are used to getting so wait and see: also (just to nitpick) only two of those mentioned suit a leader class range if scale and not "to sell toys" is what we are expecting form Hasbro; and even then i'd rather see an Ultimate Megatron with trailer

So far we don't know anything about the scale of the new cast's robot modes save for Sentinel Prime's pics in EMPIRE, for all we know voyager shockwave and deluxe dreads robot modes are in perfect scale with the rest of the line!
Seriously if such rants about scale and size class are to be had about DOTM figs lets at least wait for concept art and a scale chart to be released...

I first didn't much liked him, on the photos.

That video confirm that i won't buy it, unless very very low price.

Despite the bad gimmick and his horrible right arm, the Battle Ops is better, in my mind.

Besides, this DOTM leader is pretty small, which would confirm what i first though: Dotm Toys looks smaller and cheaper.

Hope Sentinel prime won't be that small.
I want a big rockin' Truck!!!

I wonder why they didn't use the battle mask gimmick from battle ops BB?

I think that's the only BB toy with a battle mask feature where the mask actually looks good.

Unless we get wind of a new HA BB mold before this hits shelves, I think I will get this. I wish he was a bit smaller, but unlike battle ops he is small enough to go with my HA toys (I really, really don't like the original HA BB).

It's same the reason as every time somebody is personally offended by Hasbro's business choices.

    Because they hate you.

And there was no Leader Starscream until a year after ROTF.

Try putting two and two together.

So what Hasbro are basically saying is they can only make a really good arm cannon on the deluxe. I'm not bothered about the bulk that it causes. Though I'm sure many are.
