Oh my God, I fucking love Backwind's robot mode.

As for Searchlight himself, he's definitely my favorite PCC so far. The heads are ace, and the rotors on the arms look great. Only drawback is his torso mode looks kinda iffy.

Thanks for the reviews. Watching is these videos will be the closest I'll be to this toy line. Not for me at all.

On a sied note...Backwind. Terrible name. Just sayin.

Peaugh, the Wendy's gobot you wanted is the one I used to have. His name is, Breez

Could be worse, it could've been BREAKWIND.

Well I guess I can't finish my Animated Kup custom till this guy comes out... His head is perfect! And dammit Peaugh! Why did you have to say his minicon looked like a GL construct. Now I have to have him.

Also I like his copter mode. I'll prolly have those arm blades removed most of the time though during bot mode.

Hey, Peaugh, I have a question. Do his arms in bot mode peg into his torso securely? They look like they just flip over and hang there and that would bug the hell out of me.

    Contest entry sent, btw. ;)

Awesome figure. This is the one I'm most excited for. I can't say how much I LOVE the rotors in torso mode. That is so friggin badass.

His Minicon is kinda meh... would've been better if he was transparent blue to match Searchlights color scheme.

Overall, would you say you're a fan of this line Peaugh? and, can I come over? :D

They don't peg in any way that I've found, but they hold pretty well despite that.

I'm not a BIG fan yet. I'm definitely digging the actual scout figures, but I'm still wavering on the limbs/minicons. I generally like 2 out of 4 minicon modes (vehicle weapon, minicon bot mode, main weapon for robot mode, armor for robot mode), but not sure if I absolutely LOVE them. (for the record, I love Chopster's robot and axe modes, but iffy on the car gun and armor forms, and for Backwind I love his robot and armor modes, iffy on both weapon modes.)

Lets hope so. That'd annoy the hell out of me if they just flopped around.

Now, is it back-"wind"? Or back-"wind" like winding a clock?

I remember that being a subject of discussion when he first showed up. Wind (like a... fart?) sounds better. But just curious to what suits the figure all together.

    Animated springer, is that you?

I may have to get one of him afterall, hopefully a green repaint will follow.
The blue has potential for an animated defensor or highbrpw, and green with that head could rock as animated springer.

    Sneaky hasbro, very sneaky.

Kinda invokes Classics highbrow a little if he had a better head...

Very nice design. Can't wait to get my hands on Searchlight. I love his Mini-Con. While I'm not a huge fan on the translucent plastic, I love the design and the gun alt mode.

Can you post a pic of him in bot mode with the gestalt head up?

I'm kinda curious on the proportions of it. (ie animated headbrow, err highbrow would have a big head anyway...) A line up of all that can do it would be nice too. =D

Here you go. A little misproportioned, but not too horrible.

I will say, Hasbro may well win people over on these. It's easy to dismiss the individual figs/sets, but I have to admit, the fun factor on these guys increases EXPONENTIALLY the more you have. Just look at that Searchlight combined mode down there. And if he could add a few more minicons as weapons? I see these being a bigger hit than people are predicting, especially once more sets become available.
