Does anyone know of a way to make pearl paints lighter? Would you just use silverpaint, white, or clear coating.

I would experiment but my paints are hard to come by since I'm in the middle of corn and cows. I thought i'd ask my brother bashers for tips or experiences before I waste away my reserves.

Testors sells a pearl paint in a can which is virtually clear. It's great stuff. I used it on my protoform Arcee, on top of the white, and it's still white.

Dag blast it!!! The only place I know where to get that is 22 miles away and we are having these accursed midwest Ice storms.

I'm really thinking is it worth braving the storm, No Sacrifice No Victory I suppose!!!

It's basically a clear coat with a metallic finish + gloss. the metallic flakes are so tiny they only show a nice pearl sheer.

from some angles, the white I painted looks redish, from other angels it's purple or blue.

here's a quick online sample of it
