Up for grabs is a custom set of hand adapters for MMC Sphinx. I had a client request a set so here is the final product.



These adapters allow you to add the KFC 'KP-11' articulated Tracks hands to your Sphinx. (Purchased separately thru your preferred vendor). Still transforms as normal. The adapters are resin and off white. Not really visible so color isn't an issue. Painting wouldn't work regardless as the rubbing would strip it.




Installation is as follows:
1st remove the top cover. It just pulls off. Not necessary, but makes it easier.



Remove this pin. Mine has the knurled end on the outside of the arm, so assuming yours is the same, push the pin out from the inside of the arm.





With pin removed, remove stock hand off adapter.



To avoid damage and breaking the adapters while installing (as they are small and fragile), complete installation in this exact order and how described:

Insert new adapter into the new hand first. Push the adapter straight down, not at an angle, and pushing down on the surface as shown... you do not want to push down on the neck of the post as you can snap the adapter since the parts are small, you want to push down and the area shown here.





Then slide the stock wrist plate back on.



Now just reattach the assembly to the arm in reverse and you are set.





The only issue with changing to the new hands is it will require sanding down a little of the hand peg on the gun if you want the hand peg to slot into the new hands perfectly. The plastic sands easy and fairly simple to test fit the peg a few time as you remove a little of the material off the peg on the top and front. Just take a little off then test fit, repeat till you get it perfect.

I used an exacto knife and took a small piece off the top



And a file to take a little plastic off the front surface to get a perfect fit.
