I was amused to see it on last night's. He's mentioned Transformers a few times on various shows he's appeared in.

No screenshot of the toy, they just had some newspaper headlines flash up.

I think he meant a clip of the show.

Why need a clip when the entire show is up for free on BBC iplayer?

Bagzey is from the UK. We are "greeted" with his presence in the UK sightings thread all the time.

Given that the last thread on this was not just locked but deleted, was this really a good idea?

Yes, this thread is a good idea as it serves to show how much of a PR fail has hit Hasbro in UK because of the name choice.

BBC Radio 4 satirical news "The Now Show" also featured about the name of the new toy. Extended sequence about offensive names of toys promted by this PCC, starts around 17:00
BBC iPlayer - The Now Show: Series 32: Europe faces the music - with special guest Jon Culshaw

For context, this is prime time national radio slot for rush our commuters straight after news & interviews with heads of state and leading economists.

    Really?

    That's shocking.

Then again it did contain a large amount of narrowmindedness from people who you would expect to know better.

Indeed. Why can't there be a disabled Transformer? Rattrap had his wheelchair mode in Beast Machines. And there's a TF named Wheelie already.
There's every other type of character in the TF universe so why not a handicapped one?
Instead of crying foul over it the concept should be embraced instead. This figure could've been the first in a long line representing all types of people.

We know already. It's offensive in the UK and other parts of the world. It's no longer being named 'He who cannot be named'. We apologize for being inherently American and not knowing such things. Can we let it go?

I think we've had enough of the name drama for now, thanks.
