The new Pokemon game, Battle Rev, has wifi battling with random people. I read somewhere that the system sets you up with ppl on your level.

Well, there's one problem i have with that. legendaries(ubers) & hacks...and hacked legendaries. It is sooooooooooooooooo crap. I have 2 that i use, and the rest are non-legendary. Well, it's kind of hard to beat teams with groudon, kyogre, dialga, palkia, latios, and latias. it's crap. I just can't beat them. i went through the ENTIRE story mode with out losing with my team, hit wifi, win a while, and hit the legendary block.

Anyone else a little p-oed about the uber-goobers on the wifi?

    ~or~

    R U an uber-goober?

I can't handle playing against people in games like that. I need like, dynamic action.

A properly trained team of Pokemon can wipe the floor with most Legendaries since the people don't EV train them. If they're too lazy to earn them, they'll be too lazy to EV train.

Groudon and Kyogre still get used?
Wow, I thought everything was Dialgia, Palkia, Lucario, Deoxys and the Lati's these days.

I've been out of touch with this for a long while.

I haven't gone online yet, but this is what I'm afraid of. Isn't there a level cap?

I never liked the anti-Legendary culture I found online back when I really got into Pokemon. My RPG history influenced me to go for the most powerful monsters I could get. From a personal preference standpoint, the Legendaries were among my favorite monsters more often than not. But I'd have to put both of those aside and use weaker monsters that I didn't like as much or I'd be a "cheap" player.

Now I could understand that back in the RBY days. The single special stat was just broken, and Mewtwo with Amnesia was virtually unkillable. The balance issues back then were simply too enormous to ignore. But things are very different these days. Sure, legendaries are still powerful, and a very small handful might be overpowered. But the continued insistence that legendaries should be banned just baffles me.

I tried to adapt for a while, but the constant bashing of anyone who even thought about using any legendaries sucked all the fun out of it. They're there, in the game, available to anyone, and the vast majority of them can be easily countered. What's the big deal?

It's not so much the Legendaries that bother people, it's the way so many people use them as a crutch.

I think its more, you hardly see normal legendaries any more.
A second-stage or third-stage evolution can easily take down some legendaries.

Its that as soon as it became multiplayer, you had the people that thought:
    "OMG, CANT LOSE!!!!1!!!"
As such, they used codes and hacks to make their team un-beatable, but used only legendaries, rather than hacking super normal pokemon.

This then led to the negativeness.

WHEE! Multiplier effect! Critical hit! Its super effective!

They lvl every 'mon to 50 in wifi mode.

    .................................

These lengendaries are crazy. like i said i can wipe the floor in story mode. Heck i beat the E4 and my higest lvl 'mon was 53.

The problem i have are the that have like no real weaknesses.
    EX:
    Palkia > Water/Dragon > weakness=dragon

There are only like 15 dragon attacks and most of those aren't very strong aganist him.

lv 1 rattata bred to know endeavor and quick attack holding a focus sash will kill most anything in 2 turns. although it isn't perfect it's a good way to make your friends jaws drop at least once.
