Is there a reason I'm having money deducted from every payment I receive via Paypal?

Last one was confirmed to be sent out of a bank account and I still had a $1.30 fee taken from it.

    It's getting a little irritating...

Because the payer is using a credit card? How did you confirm the last one was from a bank account? Maybe the payer used a MC or Visa ATM card (treated like a credit card) instead of a direct transfer out of a checking account?

The buyer said where the money was coming from after I brought up the fees for credit card purchases. (He's still new to the whole Paypal thing)

Yeah, if they use a credit card to pay, you'll get a fee.

What about another one... Existing funds (buyer made the comment when refering to fees)?

There shouldn't be a fee for existing funds...

Well, if he's so new, perhaps it's easy for him to consider the use of a MC or Visa ATM card as "direct from his bank account" while PayPal doesn't consider it as such?

    I dunno...just guessing.

Do you have a basic paypal account or a Premier account? With premier you can send and receive more money each month but there's fees for everything.

Do you have a merchant account, or a regular free account without a debit card? Merchant accounts get fees gouged out of every incoming transaction, no matter where it comes from.

I have a Premier account. Fees very from 4.2%-4.5% for EVERY incoming payment. Just received a payment for $22. After their fee I have $21.04 in account.

I thought all incoming payments on Paypal incurred a fee. At least, that's the way it's always been for me.

Not if its paypal funds. That means that you transferred money from e.g your bank account to your paypal account.

I'm still considering whether upgrading to a premier account for recieving unlimited credit card payments or not... at the moment I have the basic account with a max of 5 credit card recievements a year.
