While I wait for the parts to arrive for my Defensor, I was thinking about other projects.. Since money is slightly more tight than normal I decided to look at a few old TF's I've got lying around.

One that I loved that I don't see getting too much love is payload.

Bored on the couch watching Ghost Hunters one night I decided to pull out the sharpies and go at it. Sure paint is better, but sharpies were easy, and just gave me something to do during my bordem.. The end result... Well I'm pretty please!

I gave Payload a few touch ups.. I turned his "Grey" molded pastic to silver which matches the pre-painted silver rear panel, I added head lights (with a paint pen), made the grill more.. mean looking. and added a few touches to his bot mode (colored a few pieces silver to make them stand out.

I eventually want to put his head on a ball joint.. But that's later!

    here's what I've done!

Oh yeah, I also made a cheap "light box" so I can take some better pics.. I like it, and it cost me a whole.. buck.. That's right, a few pieces of paper, a box from a trade and some scotch tape.. Boom .. done..

    :)

    Thanks!
I know my skills with a paintbrush and other marking type utensils isn't that good (yet), but I was content with the final product.. heh

I've always thought Payload was a great looking figure, but that 10 foot pole sticking out of his back was enough to stop me from getting it. Nice though!

You know.. I've desperately been trying to figure out if there's some way I can make that go away, even if it makes him a parts former a little..

I was considering doing the hands, but I'm still debating if I want them silver or black. Black gives him that transformer feel. So I've yet to do those until I can make up my mind.

My friend asked me the same thing, so I'll go ahead and attach the same pictures and explanation of my creation.
    Anyone can do it! :)

    Get a USPS mailing box.
Line it with white paper, scotch tape it down (it didn't show too bad int he pics)
and drop a light so you can see it..
It's not the best thing ever.. But it works to make clean pics..

Eventually i'll go and get some poster board, and measure it out so there are no tape seams.. But for now.. good enough!
