YouTube - Pawn Stars Season 3 Episode 11-''Phoning It In"- Part 2/3
Sorry if this was already posted! Just thought it was cool.
Well, you're missing the second half of it where they call in the toy expert and he says it really is worth $20,000
Got damn!.....them joints were clean!
That's a rockin' collection. So sad he has to part with it. Honestly, I'd sell the baby first. The kid won't be worth as much in 15 years anyway.
j/k baby owners.
Honestly, he could probably make more on ebay. All those city bots and whatnot.
Yeah it was a discussion the other day.
You know it's a hot topic when it's been posted several times.
He would definitely make more selling them off on ebay.
I don't think it's for real, if he really wanted the money he would just sell them off on ebay, or right here. He says it takes up the whole room, yeah, that's because he lays them out on the floor. Pack them up in boxes, stack them up it'll take up less than a quarter of that room. No one in his right mind would part with a collection accumulated since childhood for some "room space".
unless it is for there baby.
You saw the video. Right ? With shelfs.. hed have plenty of room for a crib.
And besides he said he has 2 rooms with them... They didnt show the other room i wonder why ....
does anybody here know this guy?
I wonder if he a member of the board.
Or if the wife wants them gone, LOL
Dude may have decided to sell them to finance the first year or two of childhood. Baby-rearin' is expensive.
...of course, as has been said, if he had been wise about it, he would have sold them off individually for a greater profit.
Greater profit but more of a pain in the arsh..... Sometimes people just need money and that is how Rick makes his money. He counts on people to be desperate. If it were easy to sell things for full price no one would use a middle man. I am betting that "expert" Comic shop guy bought them. Also, speculation as to what was in the other room. In the other posting it was discussed and I think the idea that the other room was filled with newer stuff makes sense.
I am probably going to get flamed for this but I was not that impressed with the collection. A lot of figures but very few accessories. Yeah I know I could get 7 Scorponoks without accessories fairly cheap. He did have some good stuff but overall I would say a fair collection that is just big. I would only value the collection that high if and only if the other room had some boxes for the high dollar items and a big shoe box full of accessories that he did not have time to lay out.
I agree, I was let impressed with his collection. The only thing he had that was cool was Fort Max, nothing was MISB or MIB that we seen. I didn't see to many Pretenders, Overlords, Black Zaraks all the stuff that means money to me.
That is one seriously awesome collection. I can understand wanting to part with it for raising a child and the funds he would procure from it, but I'd tell my wife to get lost and go find some other guy to knock her up.
I would have been more impressed if we saw more boxes and paperwork for the older stuff. Plus it would have been nice to see some baggies full of accessories. Makes me wonder how much was cut out for TV.
The way I see the "But what if he needs the money now!?!" point of view.
The guy is a collector, if he has even the slightest amount of intelligence, he is a member of a board such as TFW. He can list them on ebay on a 3-7 day auction individually (and not be a lazy b!tch, the baby isn't there yet. Get it done man!) and BOOM! start profitting in a week.
Done and done.
I think the guy was looking for a free appraisal myself.
That way he can tell his wife...see it IS worth 20k!
