Hi gang, I'm relatively new here, even though I've been an active Transformers fan and collector for over 11 years now. I should have done this a looong time ago, but it took a while before I could muster up the time (and courage, looking at all the brilliant artwork here) to post some stuff of my own. I just mastered inking my pencils, and I'm in the process of trying out coloring my stuff, so expect some HUGE updates in the near future. There is some exciting TF stuff that's already been colored by some incredible artists, but I'm not allowed to post them just yet. As far as the pics in this thread: Megs still needs to be inked. I took some liberties with ROTF Optimus as you can see, and some details are a little rough, but the pencils weren't all they could be. Basically, I used the pencils to practice my inking skills and reworked some of the details in the process. I intend to take this as far as I can go, not just with Transformers. I must say that this is some of my favorite line work I've seen in some time! I'm VERY glad you've gotten to the point of being able to post your work to share with the rest of us. I really look forward to seeing more from ya
Thanks for the feedback guys! It means a lot to me. I'll probably be posting more in the coming days, although it may take a bit longer, the Christmas holidays being what they are. I'm working on G1 and movie art as well as Beast Wars stuff, and I will probably venture into Animated as well, just to try out different things and because I freaking love the show and toyline For now: Merry Christmas everybody!
Oh, and in case anyone is up for coloring either Starscream or ROTF Prime, you can send me a PM. I'll see what I can do in return. I really want to see these guys in color and my own coloring skills are still rudimentary at best. I don't know if these kind of requests are allowed here, so please correct me if I'm going against forum policy!
Aside from that, here are some "oldies" from 2006 to hold you guys 'n gals over. I'm still well pleased with Astrotrain's little smirk, even though he looks a tad Dreamwave-ish. Gears is okay too, although Prowl in hindsight isn't all he could have been. Ah well, it's been three years... I'm doing a new Prowl soon!
