lol Not necessarily. If the writing or directing is still bad, then it just goes from being a shitty live action film, to a shitty CG animated film.

 

why are people so adverse to having human characters on EARTH you know 13 humans being announced is nothing like an actual populace, so so far there aren't alot of humans yet if you think about it properly

If they are human/humanoids characters, I prefer them to already have been part of the Transformers history like, Dr. Arkeville, Carly,Chip Chase, Zarack, etc

If they want to make up characters make them Nebulans, Headmasters, Targetmasters, etc.

If not make sure they are good characters and are important to the story.

 

Maybe Dempsey will be Bumblebee's Pretender shell. And Malkovich will be Optimus. Jamie Kennedy can be Hunter O'nion and end up being Sunstreaker's Head. That would be top notch. I also heard they're setting up Duhamel's character to start being reffered to as Kicker.

 

Was he cheap? I don't think Patrick Dempsey's that great an actor. I hope he can actually bring something to the series. *Crosses Fingers*

I'm starting to wonder if TF3 will have and Robots in it at all.

 

It's going to be a movie about people that just happen to like robots. I hear they're going to be re-animating Jackie Gleason's corpse.

Fantastic news. Dempsey is an excellent actor and I know he'll bring a sense of integrity to the human cast. I've followed his work for years, so it'll be nice to see a familiar face amongst the case of humans in TF3.

All of the above is a lie. I have no clue who this dude is. I sure hope they give us some announcements about robits or faraway planets or spaceships or something related to the genre of science fiction or, specifically, Transformers, at some point.

 

Now what we need to understand is that his role may be "dark". Now remember when Michael Bay referred to the humor of ROTF as "over the top" and we got actual genital humor? "Dark" could mean a lot more than what we think, maybe all of his scenes will be filmed at night, maybe he's a vampire.

No matter how many actors are announced for this thing no matter how many human characters are thrown in or what the ratio between them and robots is, it will have no bearing on if the movie will suck or not. That sits squarely on the shoulders of the creative staff. If this was the 2007 Transformers movie, no one would have any reason to doom say unless it was a matter of personal taste (designs etc) but now, this being the 3rd movie we can apply everything we hear about it to the formula established by the first 2 and be much closer to the mark with our predictions. That, my movie-franchise-supporting-no-matter-the-news-or-lowering-of-the-intellectual-bar buddies, is why all the nervous fans are justified in their nervousness.

That being said, have fun tearing each other apart.

 

Maybe he'll be a pretender like that Aussie chick was in the last movie. He woos Megan Fox and then tries to poke her with a 30 foot long appendage.

I don't really have a problem with Patrick Dempsey. He's an okay guy, I guess. I'd like it better if they could cast someone like say...David Caruso, 'cause that would make TF3 all kinds of awesome.
