Totaly inspired by Snaptraps comment in the thread for Dicrons Custom Version i just swapped parts between SG Drift & Generations Blurr. Heads just a repainted Drift for the moment but i plan to resculpt a new head & add a targetmaster but other than that no extra paint & no mods beyond a screwdriver Thanks for lookin
Wow. Pointblank is actually the only G1 Transformer I own. I've had him for decades; since I was a kid. I really liked him. It's only since joining these boards that I've learned who he is. So I am SUPER tempted to do this as well. But then I realize how much it would cost, so I won't. But this looks fantastic.
Looks good. Might do that since I have a extra. Not sure about the car deco though. Are you going to do the shoulder mod to make it look more G1?
If it were a custom to paint i'd have gone with your shoulder mod but unless i can work out a way to do it with zero damage it will probably stay the way it is. I'd like to be able to still have a complete SG Drift should i ever want to put him back together again. I kind of like the deco on the car but or those who want to it would be pretty easy to strip the paint apps with some alcohol. Yeah i was thinking about those too..maybe once we actually get to see a real toy but maybe i'll make my own.
Going on MindsetOverhaul's suggestion of using Cybertron Hotshot i managed to find a Cybertron Hotshot head i modified for Crosshairs (he's even got a mouth plate somewhere) & as luck would have it the ball joint fits perfectly in the hole left by the removal of Drifts head.
Perfect... To bad i dont have that otshot. It doesnt happen to be similar to the cybertron defense hotshot head is it?
i just wished they had done things like this, instead of more "shattered glass". i'd rather have new characters then just "evil" ones of the ones we already have.
