Hey guys quick question about transformers and your kids. See, I want to donate a ton of MISB Transformers (from the first movie) to a toy drive. But im afraid they might be too complex for the intended age group. So if you have kids who play with the movie toys please tell me what you think. Im just afraid that if a kid ends up with a TF Movie toy it might suck because its too hard or no fun. So please let me know ASAP, christmas is in a few days and I want to help some kids have a good holiday but I cant afford to give anything but these toys! So your imput could help some kids too!

    Thanks!!

My son is 5 and has me transform all of his movie line toys but he asks me to transform everything anyways.

Most toy drives cover a wide range of ages, unless otherwise stated. The age on the package of leader bumblebee says... ages 5 and up, so you can use that as a benchmark, although I imagine any kid over the age of choking on small parts could enjoy it, I guess.

My son is also 5 and he has been playing with transformers since 3. Don't worry about them not having fun or the toy too complex. They WILL have fun, not just the way the toy was intended to. they just take two factions and clobber (I mean battle) them together. That's fun, right?

On a side note, my son sometime will play with a new transformer for one whole week.

Well, except the roleplay weapons, a lot of toy drives don't like those.

movie one and two, especially two, are even complicated to transform for me sometimes.

i wouldn't recommend them to little kids, but any kid over 8 should be fine.

it's all those stupid panels really :lol

Please don't give Camaro Concept Bumblebee from the 07 movie (the original concept Camaro mold). The shoulder has yellow pieces on it which are prone to falling off, and have been mentioned as choking hazards for little kids. So please don't donate that toy, or any repaints of it.

Aside from that, the movie toys should be fine. Kids will be happy to get a toy for Xmas, even if it is hard. Any toy is better than no toy. :)

I think kids will enjoy them. My son is 6 and he can transform all of his movie toys without even looking at the instructions, including leader class. The only one he can't do himself is DOTM Sentinel Prime - but that one is a pain in the butt, even for me.

My fiancee's kid is 4 and has some like the HFYD activators and a few legends and he can transform them fine. This Christmas Santa is gonna bring him some DOTM deluxes.

I'm planning on donating some MISB and MOC Transformers tomorrow, but I'm wondering whether or not I should donate some MIB Transformers I have. For example, I have a Universe Blaster lying around who was displayed in a glass case briefly (replaced by Music Label), then put back in the box, re-twist tied, and everyhing. That sort of thing.

And yeah, I kind of left it late. I've been insanely busy. I'll probably drop them off some time tomorrow.

I was hoping to hear an answer from the community, but since I didn't, I went with my gut and kept it to MISB / MOC, even though I have some MIB that wouldn't be distinguishible to most people.
