So we reported earlier today that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen surpassed the $400 million mark this past Labor Day weekend and now we have found that the film helped boost Paramount to the second spot in highest grossing studios during the summer box office season.

Out of the $884 million, Revenge makes up almost half of that.

Star Trek ($257.2 million) and GI Joe: Rise of Cobra ($140.9 million) helped bolster the bottom line, too.

Unfortunately, the Eddie Murphy "comedy" Imagine That helped keep Paramount down.

Warner Bros was top this year with just under $1 billion in box office ticket sales this summer thanks to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ($297.6 million) and The Hangover ($272.2 million).

Fox, Disney, and Sony round out the top five grossing studios for this year

    Good info, Jackets.
I think Paramount should thank all of the TFW2005 members for helping make that number happen, and we will still add to the profits as the DVD/BluRay releases hit in October.
Well, we can pat ourselves on the back, too:thumbs2:
