But it's a given, right? I mean, they'd be crazy not to release it.

Of course, but the question is when. I had originally thought it would have been out by May. However, the TF movie is on track for next year, so I don't think it's unfathomable to think they may wait for the hype of the next film to kick in.

    Almost certainly.

Could be worse - they could release it in June, and then unveil the super-duper-deluxe BD next year.

Hopefully when the BD Transformers finally does arrive that they make it some new edition with more extras and stuff than the HD-DVD had.

Cool to see that There Will Be Blood and Cloverfield will be out in June. I may pick them up I have heard good things.

True. I don't always mind double dips though. I've double dipped on a few releases over the years. Mainly horror films though.

Cloverfield will be an instant buy for me. I really enjoyed the movie. It's definitely not for everyone though.

Ya unless they boost the bonus features I'm in no rush to get TFTM on Blu-Ray.

Yeah I saw that story on Bluray.com. I thought the same thing. Thought Transformers would be one of the first. But geeze, at least bring out one of the Shreks, I would love to see that in HD.

The other movie I am dying to see on BR is Aliens, but that's 20 Century, so they need to get that out instead of the AVP movies.

I could have swore their was a sort of leak a while back of its release date on blu ray. I did a search and came back with nothing. Im crossing my fingers for BD-Live. Gain access to the s7 site thru the ps3. Or maybe a preview site for the new movie. With owners getting exclusive access to the trailer thru BD-Live. The potential is staggering. I say save the space on the dick for the movie and make all special featured bd-live. :)

I'd buy the TF movie even if it was simply just the movie and nothing else (like I'm getting with the 86 Animated Movie). I just want the movie in hi-def. I can live without most special features.

Yeah, TILLAR1 was selling an extra copy that he had imported. As long as the BR Disk is region free, it will play in any player. Most BR disks are region free. Only a fairly small percentage were actually using the region protection.

I had no idea the '86 movie saw a BD release. One more for the wishlist.

...still, I am glad at least that we're getting Cloverfield on Blu.

It was released in the UK only, but it will play in any player. TILALLR1 confirmed that when he bought it.
