If I ever made one of those, I'd fill the insides of each piece with foam and use some of that spray on sealant.

Then I'd make molds from each part and cast a more durable Prime.

Oh, I'm not doing it. I have too much other stuff to do. But it'd be cool to see you do it.

I'm gonna start smaller. I found this simpler one.
Transformers - Optimus Prime Papercraft Simplified Version | Papercraft Paradise | PaperCrafts | Paper Models | Card Models

Not that i'm new to papercrafting or anything (I made a Metal Gear Rex model which took me 2 weeks), I'm just feeling less ambitious right now :p

Can you imagine? All that work. . . Accidentally getting smushed. I would have to punch a baby.

Accidentally my ass. I'd do it in front of a crowd. These papercraft things are so beautiful, but knowing they're made out of delicate, fragile paper is just a glorious smash-fest waiting to happen.

I'd spend an hour making a house of cards only to knock it down. I was also terrible at Jenga. Must... destroy...

I tried to make a papercraft zoroark once. Failed miserably and ended just throwing it away.

I'd never have the patience nor the steady hand to do this...probably the reason I'm terrible at customs, I would imagine myself doing it and getting halfway through, and then just smashing it and laughing at the crumpled remains of optimus prime...then I'd play with my ROTF leader prime and forget about the whole thing

Yup. Very time consuming and tedious. Now you know how ILM feels :p

I'm gonna build this one of these days. I'll a vid when I do.
Till then, check out the other simpler prime's I've done. Most G1, but a very cool masterpiece version, and 1 chibi style movie prime.

Also a cool ROTF devastator one by paper-replika too! I love that one!

I don't think its as easy as it looks, I would rethink about building Optimus out of paper.
