Well I can't get over the chest. I canceled my preorder. I have mft's original magnus and while it's not perfect the bot mod works a lot better for me. At least until their next magnus gets released.

 

i like the plain chest. looks good to me. i may look into this figure more.

 

That's part of me trying to 'shop it into looking better. Sorry that was unclear.

 

Well I can't get enough Ultra Magnus, and I already have Mech Fans Toys UM and Magic Square's UM, and I don't see a reason to not get this guy too- I'll start an UM "club" on my shelf, just for them- filled with plenty of fembots and energon. ^_^

 

Have we gotten a price on this guy yet? He really is too big for my collection, but I'm a huge Magnus fan

Cool thanks, surprisingly for the size he's pretty cheap compared to their Hot Rod!

 

This one has been photoshopped/custom painted. You can see the chest has also been filled in with the blue areas that it needed. Looks much better with the addition missing paint work.

 

Maybe reprolabels or somebody else could make a sticker set to correct those little things.

Perhaps it might be worth contacting Reprolabels like: Hey, would you mind making a little sticker set for this UM please?

Might work...I still like him as he is- I love that we have a choice between a chunky legends UM (which is how I see this), and a skinny legends UM (Magic Square's UM)- it's good to have variety. ^_^

 

Will be though fixing the side chest area with stickers, which is currently red, as another part swivels there for alt mode. The window will be easy, sure, but on each side of the window should be some blue area, and that would have been best painted or having had made it with separate plastic parts.

We’re really in the midst of a Magnus opus what with the Magic Square, Papa Toys, Hasbro/Takara Tomy Siege, MFT, THF all being released months apart.

 

i dont understand what the big deal with the chest is. i think it looks good but what do i know i guess.

I don't mind the chest, but the paintwork on the eyes bugs me. Hope the final product is better.

 

Bummer, the hip articulation really does look heavily restricted   Was hoping the last video was an anomaly somehow. Might be a dealbreaker for me.

It’s weird tho, I’m sure we’ve had some photos demonstrating that he can bring his hips up 90 degrees?
